This.

With the level of garbage being put on the ice in Florida and Buffalo, and the degree of separation between playoff teams in the West and bottom feeders, we will be hard-put to succeed in winning or losing the plus side is this seems like a pretty nice draft to be picking at 10-16

There are some positives with the team, but this is not a playoff team. it needs a second line , not one with a guy who scored 5 goals last year or HANSEN and his 14 or so . Kassian is a big maybe.

If Canucks do decide they want to compete then they need to make at least 2 trades. If they are in the McDavid sweeps then they are not far off and need to make one or two adjustments.

your top line only did get 16 and 11. so that would mean your second line is as good as scoring as your 1st

Miller: “It was good that from the bench last night, I was getting to know the guys’ voices and tones during play.”

Miller looks happy to be riding the pine, no controversy here.

florida will steal games I think

Buffalo will be very low, and so will carolina (man I hate that). I also think nashvilles going to be way down there (jokinen and roy do not make a team better if they are the added scoring). those are the 3 that will fight for mcdavid I think.

I don't think Nashville will be that bad, especially with some help from some youth. Carolina will be (frank)ing brutal.

Trade who for who? Unless the farm is gutted we are not getting anything significant. Not much we can do but hope the stars align. We are also pretty far off a McDavid contender. Top 10 sure, top 3 no way

Worst position to be in in the Hockey Standings is in the middle of the pack on the outside of the playoffs.

I think you're underrating the Preds, they weren't bottom 3 last year and they get back Rinne. Those 2 guys might not make them better, but I doubt it makes them worse. Forsberg could also be a solid top 6 forward for them, and their defense is solid. Plus Hornqvist for Neal could be a good move.

I didn't want to go there yet but I am well aware of the point totals of the first line last year 32 goals with Burr Hank and Danny.

It will be interesting to see how the preds do with a new coach and system, a lot of those players have been playing the same style all their professional careers and now they I assume are going to try and open it up. Rinne coming back will be huge but will he be as dominant in a different system? I don't see them as a bottom 3 team but if it happened I wouldn't be shocked.

I think Carolina is the worst team next year, Buffalo obviously and I think Arizona bottoms out in the West.

neal I thinks overrated and doesn't have the support he's used to.

Jokinen sucks the life out of lines....hes horrible.

Forsberg could be the change they need.

Rinne....I have a bad feeling that its going to be a year of injuries due to his infection reoccurring. He's a game changer though.

I agree about Florida. They'll be better this year. Here's my prediction on the bottom feeders:

21. Vancouver
22. Winnipeg
23. Toronto
24. NY Islanders
25. Ottawa
26. Florida
27. Edmonton
28. Carolina
29. Calgary
30. Buffalo

We are way better this year already.
No locker room drama
A coach that will play puck possession offense
Use the players the way they should be used not ask everyone one to do everything
No Ryan black vortex Kesler on the second line keeping the puck all the time
Added 50 goals in Bonino and vrbata less the 25 cryin ryan brought
Our pp looks great
Last but most certainly not least I found Canucks undies for game day my friends the cup is ours[url]

I wouldn't use one preseason game against us as a measuring stick and to be fair Miller was thrown off by the humidity.

NYI you are underestimating a lot, they'll make the playoffs with WSH, DET, COL dropping out. But it will be tight. Jets overestimating, a lot. And calgary will be ahead of carolina and I still think Nashville will be picking around 3rd.

man, its pretty impossible for the playoffs teams in the west to not be the same this year.

all those teams have sub par goaltending... except for maybe Toronto. Florida has Lu, but i think his twitter account is his best asset at this point of his career.

Agree on Neal, but I still think he's a better player than Hornqvist. I don't like trying to predict injuries, it's too difficult unless we're talking about a player with David Booth's history.
