It depends. He has more yards but a few less catches and also has Cam Newton throwing him passes. If Watkins and Orton connect like they did today Watkins could blow up. Most of his stats are in 2 games. Plus he isn't fully healthy.
It makes me have hope, which is dangerous - Stripes77

A win is a win. EJ won the first 2 scoring 20+ in each game and people were still concerned (rightfully so)
Watkins had to make 2-3 circus catches on the last two scoring drives today.
I like what Orton did, but I didn't see this huge upgrade, he threw a pick 6, took some sacks and was inaccurate. Id rather develope EJ if the difference is this minimal - sbroads24
Do you think EJ would have led them to 17 points today ? I do not think EJ is a bust . But he should hold the clipboard for a while . He still has not adjusted to the speed of the game in the NFL . I am sure Hackett can take most of the blame for that.

As DD pointed out a week ago .. Lots of great QB's sucked wind their first year. Will he be a great QB ? Too soon to tell. The clip board is what he should be studying . |

Speaking of studying did you see on the broadcast how he took out a pen and pad and was taking personal notes? At least he isn't sulking on the bench. |

Like I said, the Bills don't have a quarterback that's any good on this roster. - buffalofan19

Maybe now people will actually give Orton a chance to succeed or fail before making presumptions. |

Who knows . All I know is that Orton was just ok today. His pick 6 was just as bad as Manuel's throw to Watt. A huge difference in the 2 weeks is that Watkins made great catches as opposed to the easy drops he had last week. |

Umm how about the 50 yard pass to Goodwin that Manuel usually over throws or throws out of bounce? |

That was a great throw, and a big one. Other than that play his accuracy was hit and miss.
Listen I'm happy (and surprised) we won. I just don't think the QB problem is by any means solved |

Me either but all we need is competence for our play makers to succeed and that was proved today. |

Let EJ wear a hat and sit back and learn from a NFL veteran (not a top QB) but Kyle can control a game from the line of scrimmage with audibles and reads. Manual needs to watch from the sidelines for now, 3-2 move on............ |

does Watkins have silky mitts? or sticky mitts? |

he did it in a very loud environment...and what was cool about orton is that he hit the line of scrimmage with the plays called mostly with 10-15 seconds left on the play clock |

maybe mitts don't apply, but the dude catches almost any football he touches |

Ya for sure, if he continues to play like he did today I don't think anyone will doubt Whaley on that move. |

never really doubted it from the beginning....he was considered to be the top offensive skill player in the draft...imo, trading two mid-upper first rounders (at best) for one of the top players in the draft is a calculated risk well worth taking |
