A win is a win. EJ won the first 2 scoring 20+ in each game and people were still concerned (rightfully so)

Watkins had to make 2-3 circus catches on the last two scoring drives today.

I like what Orton did, but I didn't see this huge upgrade, he threw a pick 6, took some sacks and was inaccurate. Id rather develope EJ if the difference is this minimal

The Bills do not win this game with Manuel under center. There's no doubt in my mind.

That being said, you're right. Orton was far from spectacular. However, If I'm a coach, and I'm trying to save my job, Orton is a better choice.

When will Nolan announce the C and A's?
- rmiethaner

you're right...ej would've folded...although the they have some holes, they're built very well

My father keeps point this out to me, but the fact that they have been spectacular against the run is only going to help them later in the season. They just need decent quarterback play to get the playoffs. I still have my doubts that Orton can do it all season long, and I have very little faith Manuel can (who btw, if you believe this, lost his receivers' confidence in a big way http://www.cbssports.com/...he-put-wideouts-in-danger ), but if they can get it, they might have a chance.

Next week's game versus New England, who seems to at least stopped the bleeding, has just become massive.

Btw, that game is on Fox, not CBS:

http://espn.go.com/blog/b...s-bills-game-moves-to-fox

Due to the NFL's new cross-flex scheduling clause, this game will be the first regular season game ever played on Fox between two AFC teams.

I had a response, but for some reason it's coming up blank. Essentially, the fact that they are playing the run very well is only going to help them during the year.

The same "cross-flex" package that allowed this game, which traditionally would have been on CBS, makes this game the first regular season game played between two AFC teams ever.

I like what whaley has done with the team so far, especially on defense....offense needs work, but what's cool is that, they have many of their skill positions covered

I would attempt to move Spiller for a pick. Carolina could use a back.

They refuse to use him to his full potential. Might as well move him and bring up Brown

Sometimes when you post a link to something else it does that. I don't know why though.

absolutely...he cannot get the job done most of the time...was pulling my hair out as they continue to try and run him between the tackles, plus, he still thinks he's in college and can easily bounce it outside

It was from ESPN. Probably banned, because, of course, "ESPN doesn't know poop about hockey."

Let's not forget the play that he pretty much let a guy walk right by him and sack Orton that was so close it was almost a safety. He barely looked like he tried to stop the guy. He's terrible in pass protection.

I'd be down with that.

Hackett is gone after this year, for sure. I'm not sure they're going to play another defense that can shut down the outside the way Detroit did today, though.

I still don't know why he can't split out wide at all. Even as a decoy.

Match him up against a linebacker

he needs open space, unfortunately unless the proper play is called and the defense is leaning the wrong way, like that 20-yarder today, he's going no where fast

Unless he has a serious bounce back the next 11 games, I'm fairly certain he's gone at years end. Seems like they are just saving Brown

never really doubted it from the beginning....he was considered to be the top offensive skill player in the draft...imo, trading two mid-upper first rounders (at best) for one of the top players in the draft is a calculated risk well worth taking
- Michael Pachla

Ya I didn't mean people on here doubting him... Just people in general like wgr callers etc.

Ya I don't really think he fits there scheme at all they wanna ground and pound up the middle and he's just not the guy for that. I wish we could trade him for something useful other than a fourth round pick.

people all over doubting that move...let's put it this way, if the bills didn't make the Watkins move they'd probably have picked ebron...and ebron was waaaay overhyped....probably an offensive aaron maybin

I would imagine a team like the Panthers would give us a 3rd.

I'd do it in a heart beat. Spiller just isn't an every down guy. He would give the Panthers another weapon they desperately need outside of Olsen and Benjamin
