Question is do we really want to? I mean yea i get not wanting to tank and embarrass like last year but moving picks/prospects for short term gain really does nothing but hurt our chances of drafting a real game changer.

I think we need to figure out leuiwen before we go too far. If enroth gets injured I hope Nathan has to fend off the wolves

I agree sippy, but we will still be close to the top of the draft and have a chance at the lottery.

Scorers will figure out Enroth, our young guys will have growing pains, there will be injuries, and we will trade two of our best forwards before the deadline.

Unless we have some really surprising improvements by multiple players, my guess is that we will be close to the bottom with Calgary.

I still daydream about finishing last and the Islander's pick winning the lottery.

Agreed have you checked out the strain ?

They aren't gonna move half of the roster.

I also don't think Ennis, Myers, Girgensons, or Foligno are moving anytime soon

There is no redemption needed. Maybe take a little bit less money towards the salary cap but he will be good for us in a 3rd/4th line role.

its too bad we didnt get to see much of lieuwen in the preseason because id like to think this could be a legit discussion. I really liked what i saw out of him last year and was thinking he could be part of the buffalo tandem (eventually). This thinking was quickly stopped cold in its tracks because many on here believe he is a career ahl guy. Hes my favorite out of any of the goalies on buffalo and rochester at this point. Still have to see more of makorov and enroths size still scares me a little but i hope he proves me wrong

Agree on everything

We do not have any elite prospects. Our D is gonna be good but we need an elite forward. I want to see a cup before I die, not getting knocked out of the first round, if we even get there and picking an elite 1st rounder just once.

Armia has a lot to prove this year he honestly didn't impress me last year in Rochester. He still needs to get use to the ice rink size which is his main problem. The talent is there but I would give a few others a chance in buffalo before him. I hope he does have a breakout year but he has a lot of work to do
