Yeah, right now he's the guy holding the puck in the zone while waiting for help to arrive, or working the boards... with the occasional power move to the net. More of a support role on offense. Just not sure he can just keep singing that tune to 60+ points.

I was hoping he'll develop more of a playmaking game... but even if he stays at ~40 points/per, he's still a huge boon to the team and worth every penny of his contract. Love the poop out of that kid.

Agreed. But I haven't watched the Phantoms enough to know that is the case. And with Berube taking over during the season last year. I doubt Murray changed his in season. But that could be the case this year.

Yea but when hitters are so conditioned to hit 90+ mph fastballs every night the super slow stuff can really mess with their timing. Also Moyer could make his pitches go in any direction and spot the ball wherever he wanted

That's not evidence. That is the author applying her own description of Murray as a Coach. I consider Murray to be a strict and demanding Coach. But I don't think he's conservative to a fault.
