Looks like Gagne made the Bruins roster. Calling it now. He scores Wednesday night. Not that Stevie Wonder can't see it coming a mile away. |

Yep.. He'll score one if not two goals and the winner in the shootout. |

In no particular order:
I think Vinny and Andy Mac are going to be better than anyone thinks they can be, but still not quite up to their contracts.
I think one of Brandon Alderson or Tyler Leier comes up mid season because of injury and surprises everyone.
I think Kimmo retires in February.
I think Michael Del Zotto washes out here and, like it or not, Ghost is here by February.
The depth at forward will become a problem as I think this team might struggle to score.
I think Steve Mason shows he's legit. Again.
I think this team makes the playoffs (to the surprise of some national writers), but are once again 1st round fodder. - johndewar
i could see all of this happening. really.

I'll be cheering for the Flyers, but I've always been a huge Gagne fan and want him to do well. |

The only items on the list that I don't think happen is that they struggle to score and that they were first round fodder last spring. I think if they had Mase for the entire series (although Ray did a solid job) they win it. If the team starts better and Hexy can find some d help without giving up youth at the deadline, they could win a round. Most importantly, I agree that Mase is for real. |

You never know...If I was a betting man, I'd take the Bruins, but if mase plays well we have a shot. |

after the season ended i felt like had mason been healthy they would have pulled it out, but i've changed that thought over the course of the summer in thinking about how effective their fourth line was, and the flyers inability to score much at 5 on 5. i know they only lost by 1 lousy goal in game 7 on the road...but i think the rangers would have won.
the flyers weren't getting to the final with that team anyway...and it just made it all the sweeter to see csp on his face losing in 5 games. |

The rangers were the much better team top to bottom in that series but I was proud of the flyers effort to make it close.

I think the Bruins, minus Boychuk and Iginla, won't be the juggernaut they were last year, at least not early.
Don't know if that means the Flyers get a win, especially if Simmonds can't go, but the B's aren't quite the same team they were last year.

I enjoyed the Rangers losing as well .. and I hope they hit the skids this year. I think they are weak at centre from what I've read. Ultimately, the D is their undoing..especially with the loss of Kimmo.. I thought the team would miss the playoffs after the start they had and the coaching change.. Mase, G and the forwards especially showed me a lot. I don't think this team is as bad as some think.. but I could be wrong. Not a contender, but I think they can make the playoffs. |

If it wasn't so predictable, it would be infuriating. Who else did Carcillo score against in the playoffs last year? |
