Maybe my judgment isn't what needs to be questioned, but yours. I think you forget that all of this stuff is subjective. Everyone can feel differently about it. And last time I checked, my opinion is just that-my opinion. And since I live in the USA, I'm entitled to it. You feel differently about what you saw. That's your opinion. So I'm just going to agree to disagree with you. - HonkFortheGoose
But this is hockeybuzz and I'm right and everyone else is wrong...
Just add the late 1st rounder IDIOT...
On a serious note if TM eye's see someone that could use another look what's the big deal? Reinhart can't go to Rochester and everyone's eyes should see that he is already a great player in juniors so maybe a few more games to see where his game is at the NHL level isn't a bad thing after all. |

FROM EKLUND:
the Montréal Canadiens are still looking to upgrade their defensive corp.
the San Jose Sharks, who were also in the running for Boychuck, are also trying to upgrade
on the blue line.
The Anaheim Ducks, who also looked at acquiring d-man from Boston, are looking into both a defenseman and a forward. While I have no idea how this would work CapSpace wise, as the season goes on look for talks between the Ducks and the Maple Leafs to increase as well. More than one source has told me that Dion Phaneuf is on the Anaheim Ducks radar.
The Washington Capitals are looking to add third or fourth line character players.
Do we have anything these teams might be looking for?? - Der Kaiser
I think we are perfect partners for all of those teams. But I do not know how the value translates to other teams.
Maybe Zadorov is being kept to showcase?

Not sure we have any bottom 6 forwards that we'd be willing to part with for the Caps but could possibly help some people out looking for blue line help. I assume they're looking for help this season so that would most likely be Weber, maybe Pysyk or potentially Ruhwedel if someone out there is really high on them and the return is right.

So, NHL gamecenter on my phone just sent me an alert about Reinhart, but I couldn't read the whole thing in my notification panel. When I selected it, the crappy app that is NHL gamecenter, opened for a second and then closed, so I have not idea what the alert actually was.
Anyone else have any insight to what the notification was? |

Ive been looking at the Potential UFA’s for next July and there isn’t much to pick from. So I hope most of our trades are used to target a high end proven NHL talent. But this could be a reason Zads is still here?

I considered throwing Zadorov in on my reply as well but ultimately considering his fairly lackluster performance in Traverse City and in the preseason I think now would be a bad time to move him. If (more like When) he gets sent back to London if he tears it up again there I could potentially see him moved at some point but right now it seems like they'd be selling pretty low. |

A major selling point could be his Junior eligibility. If a team bites now, they could give him the 9 game try out and figure out what they want to do?
Value could still be high? We don't have to move anyone, so it would give us a position of power. |

True but we're also most likely talking about a (probable) playoff team looking for immediate help which Zadorov almost certainly is not. He definitely has high value and a TON of potential but from the looks of it he'll need at least another year or two of seasoning before he could contribute in the NHL so anybody that's interested in him would be looking to acquire him more from a future standpoint than for immediate impact. |

Going to say the same thing I did on garths blog. Perfect move by Nolan sending Grigo down. "When he comes up permanently you dont want to be a 3rd line pop in guy". He needs 1st line minutes in Rochester perfect move. Reinhart will get his nine games like he should and I dont think Grigo will get called back up if/when Reinhart gets sent back to juniors. that would just put him in a position like he was in last year. He will stay in Rochester for a while. As for captains

Disagree.
Grigo was put in a position last year where he was coupled with 4th liners and could not play to his strengths as a top 6 playmaker/scorer. I hope, given the way Grigo has fulfilled his end of the "work hard and you'll earn playing time" mantra, that Reinhart is only up for 9 games and Grigo will take that 2C spot in a short while.
If they leave him in Roch, and keep Reinhart here - THAT will put him in the same mind-bending "we're just being coy with you" position that he was in last year. |
