Disagree.
Grigo was put in a position last year where he was coupled with 4th liners and could not play to his strengths as a top 6 playmaker/scorer. I hope, given the way Grigo has fulfilled his end of the "work hard and you'll earn playing time" mantra, that Reinhart is only up for 9 games and Grigo will take that 2C spot in a short while.
If they leave him in Roch, and keep Reinhart here - THAT will put him in the same mind-bending "we're just being coy with you" position that he was in last year. - Der Kaiser
I didnt mean to say Reinhart will stay only put if because who knows what will happen this is the NHL. If I were to have Grigo in buffalo I wouldn't have sent him down in the first place and if he does get called up when Reinhart gets sent to juniors, it was a bad move to send Grigo down |

There is no point in sending him down if your just going to call him up in 9 games |

Then there's no point in saying "Those who play best in this training camp will earn roster spots with the Buffalo Sabres." |

Yes and no. It will be a month of top line minutes in Rochester.
Gives them a month to evaluate him and see if he's ready |

He can play top line mins in Rochester.
Something he's not going to get with Reinhart here as Ennis, Reinhart, and Girgensons are the top 3 centers. |

Numbers make it a point, so does not having to clear waivers. There is a point in sending him down for a month, in fact there are a few.
1.) Not having to clear waivers
2.) Give him top line minutes and top PP time
3.) Lets Murray evaluate where Reinhart is who knows if he decides to keep him it also gives Murray time to make a move or two to make a spot for Girgorenko if he is tearing apart the AHL.
Those are just off the top of my head. They didn't send him down for the hell of it. They have reasons.

I love how Grigorenko has stepped up . He never really has done any extended stint in Rochester yet . I think this only makes him stronger once he gets up here . Unless Reinhart is lights out . I only see him here for 5 or 6 games . That way they call him up for a couple games to judge him again.

Well, when we get both McDavid and Eichel, and then package him in a deal to Pittsburgh for Crosby, nowhere. |

Really depends on where/who we pick. pick high enough and land one of the top 3 or 4 centres and it could present a bit of a problem for him (though I think Hodgson would be 1st on the chopping block but im just guessing).
Otherwise if he continues improving he could work his way to the top six even if it is as a winger. |

Send Reinhart to juniors after the nine games, keep Grigs in AHL with Armia, playing top line minutes with top PP minutes.

The rule is that once he goes back to the WHL, he's down to stay, at least until his Junior season is over. |

Didn't we recall Grigorenko after sending him to juniors? or can you only do that once said player has played through the 9 game mark? |

sabres twitter had this up:
Moulson-Ennis-Stafford
Hodgson-Reinhart-Gionta
Foligno-Girgensons-Stewart
If they really wanted both down you could move Hodgson to the middle and have one of Gionta or Stewart play on the off wing |

And who ever thought Grigo would be in our talks as this seasons 2nd line center. |

This answer just proves the point I'm trying to make.
Grigo should be here playing 2C because he has demonstrated he is better at it than all these other guys. |

I remember Biron coming up mid season then going back . That is why I suggested he does not play a full 9 games . That way he has games left
