Didn't we recall Grigorenko after sending him to juniors? or can you only do that once said player has played through the 9 game mark? - Sabresfan-365
We recalled Grigorenko from Quebec once the lockout was settled. |

I remember Biron coming up mid season then going back . That is why I suggested he does not play a full 9 games . That way he has games left - Maximum Signal
Biron was an emergency call up do to injuries.
Something that is no longer allowed under the CBA. |

This answer just proves the point I'm trying to make.
Grigo should be here playing 2C because he has demonstrated he is better at it than all these other guys. - Der Kaiser
Better than Hodgson? He may wind up being better than him but can't really say that right now. However, if they're set on having Hodgson on the wing, then yea there's really no competition unless you're keeping Reinhart up full time. |

I think he can go back down , just burns a year off his entry level contract

He came back and played in Rochester after his JR season was done the past 2 years. |

Really depends on where/who we pick. pick high enough and land one of the top 3 or 4 centres and it could present a bit of a problem for him (though I think Hodgson would be 1st on the chopping block but im just guessing).
Otherwise if he continues improving he could work his way to the top six even if it is as a winger. - Sabresfan-365
This is kind of what i was getting at. Everybody wants him to get top 6 minutes and i would love for him to succeed but i just dont see that happening with the roster that is developing. ennis, moulson, reinhart, staff (maybe), then the draft picks 2015, armia.
long story short i think he will be a 3rd line center or winger on the team which is fine |

sabres twitter had this up:
Moulson-Ennis-Stafford
Hodgson-Reinhart-Gionta
Foligno-Girgensons-Stewart
If they really wanted both down you could move Hodgson to the middle and have one of Gionta or Stewart play on the off wing - Sabresfan-365
like i said he would be ...

He may just be juggling lines around, it's entirely possible he starts there then winds up switching places with stewart. |

IMO two of Ennis, Staff, and Hodgson won't be here by 2016.
Armia, Grigs, Reinhart, Moulson, and one or both of the 2015 1sts are the future top 6. |

Gionta has the biggest chance of going out with an injury. |

He's got loads of talent, if he continues improving the way he has, even with the 2015 pick he'll be good enough to be in the top six even if it is as a RW. They'd probably trade Moulson or Stafford before leaving Grigs on the third line. |

Yes and no. It will be a month of top line minutes in Rochester.
Gives them a month to evaluate him and see if he's ready - sbroads24
9 games in Buffalo only equals 6 games in Rochester. I had hoped it would be similar number of games, but it's not. |

are we really improving at that point though? i dont think this is an upgrade, i believe ennis and hodgson are better than armia and grigs. just my opinion |

Murray has said a lot of good things about him. He would stay over Hodgson or Stafford IMO |

If one of the 2015 picks are McDavid, he makes Ennis expendable.
And Yes McDavid is better than Ennis in this scenario along with Hodgson.
Thats counting on them getting McDavid which I'm not banking on.
If it's Eichel then he makes Hodgson and/or Staff expendable. |

Ennis will be here no question. Armia is a huge question mark for me I have watched him in Rochester and he still needs to get use to the ice size. Not sure if his injury in the beginning of the season had to do with his productoin later in the season, it could have. He needs to prove he belongs in buffalo, I've seen way to many people talking about him playing in buffalo next season |

what i was saying is that it should be something like
ennis-2015 pick-moulson
2015 pick-reinhart-hodgson
to shorten this up i dont see anything wrong with ennis 2015 draft picks and hodgson all co-existing. this is a great top 6
Edit: but i guess you could switch out hodgson with grigo or armia and id be fine with it |

There is plenty to question.
They draft McDavid your top 2 centers are McDavid and Reinhart.
Ennis is the odd man out as he won't be centering the 3rd line and he's less effective on the wing.
I also said by 2016 which is 2 years from now. I have no doubt Ennis and Hodgson are here next season. |

Ennis is a less effective player on the wing.
There is also Carrier, Armia, Fasching, Grigorenko that will make cases for them to be in the top 6. |
