I fully expect him to get sent down after nine games, maybe sooner. I just don't think it's that big of a deal, nor will the team be hurt by it in anyway.

Point is this, the Sabres came into camp with the mindset that Grigorenko would have to absolutely wow them, not just impress them. He didn't. Should they have held Reinhart to the same standard? Probably. However, neither did enough in my eyes to make me think this team is going to be worse off with one in the lineup over the other.

There's also the basic concept of "first impressions". Grigorenko, whether fairly or unfairly, has a bad one. When that's the case, there's always the fear that someone will creep back to old habits.

Me thinks Grigo will be evaluated in the games he plays in the Chacha. if he continues his play like he showed he will be up and Samson will be sent back. I don't see Sam making that much of an impact to keep him up past the 9 games. Also it will be difficult to make room for him unless an injury or too happens.

i think samson should go back.. i don't disagree with grigo being sent back either.. the problem is and will be a lot of this season, we don't have a lot of players that truly deserve to be in the NHL..

I don't think that's true this year. With the moves that Murray made in free agency, I think we have plenty of talent. It's just that we're missing that high tier talent. The 4th line might be the only one that is questionable to a point, but that could be said about a majority of 4th liners.

Agreed Sip. I would like to see a consistant 8-10 games from every player. Very few give it every game . We have had too many in the past that kill for 3-4 games then take 3-4 games off.

Yep. This isn't just a guess on my part, but Nolan's interview this morning. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets the permanent callup when Reinhart goes back.

You are correct about the slouchers on this team. Nolan won't put up with that. I think he's doing the right thing with Grigs. Better to be safe than sorry.
