You're not the only one doing it, so don't take it personally, but you can't have 3 As as a regular thing.

From the NHL rules:
Only when the Captain is not in uniform, the Coach shall have the right to designate three Alternate Captains. This must be done prior to the start of the game.

Not sure where the 1C 3A stuff has come from lately. I hope to hell they're not going to alternate anymore. "If you have more than one captain, you have none" kind of applies to too many assistants IMO

Bad move to send him to the AHL. I thought they were playing to earn a spot in the preseason.. So that whole "you earn your spot here" thing was total BS.

I don't think it hurts with the A's . Plus all three are deserving . If I have to only go with 2 . Odd man out would be Stafford. I want Hodgson and Myers to have sense of ownership in this rebuild going forward.

If he was given the talk as Goose suggested . I think it could be a good thing . With the new maturity level he has shown . I think he can embrace the move and know the future is now bright for him.

Might want to fix the "No captains" in 2013-2014...

I'm disappointed by the move, and I can't imagine how Grigo feels.

The Sabres talked the talk all through the preseason. Grigo walked the walk.

If Reinhart stays up, even for only 9 games, its a bitter pill.

The naming of this years captain will likely be a free agent acquisition. That in of itself is a by product of the last regime. Im ok with it because its sort of inevitable. It all goes back to Craig Rivet being named captain. We've been out of sync since.

Where is Stewart slotted to play this year? He is still available on waivers in my fantasy league and I think if he is guaranteed some ice time he might score 30 goals this year.

He'll be on one of the top 2 lines... At least for the first two weeks.

Guess it goes back to all the banter that the number 2 pick needs to be here . I would rather Reinhart go back to junior now and Grigerenko gets rewarded for his new work ethic and on ice performance.
