So why don't we send Ristolainen to Rochester, and keep Zadarov for 9 games then?
It's the blue line equivalent to Reinhart/Grigorenko
I have a feeling more people would disagree with that move |

Gerbe has a strong point. When Nolan said roster spots were up for grabs and hard work would not be ignored, we knew there were only really a small handful of positions he was talking about. Grigorenko was definitely one of them. He did as well, within reason that anyone is his position could. Otherwise what would he have had to do? Score 8 goals in the pre-season? I've been in situations like this professionally more than once.
edit: Its much like Nathan Gerbe's road to the pro's. The year of his last send down he had a great camp, didn't make the squad based on height. |

Not true. Risto spent his time in Rochester. Grigo has not.
Plus the play of Risto has been much better than the play of Grigo |

Maybe...I'm not sure the gap between Risto and Zadorov is as close as Reinhart-Grigorenko. If im ranking them in terms of "nhl ready" id go
Risto
Grigs
Reinhart
Zadorov |

What you said on the last page was exactly correct though, Nolan said what needed to be said just like you would see in many other professions. In the end the only thing that changed was Grigo making it a tougher pill to swallow, but one they were probably going to do regardless. |

Here we go again questioning the development of players.
I thought Grigorenko earned a spot but he is the only forward that doesn't have to clear waivers. It's a numbers game. In 9 or so games he will probably be back. |

It's not unlike being amongst a group of parents who are secretly (or not so much) judging each others ways of raising a child.
Not to worry though, by the end of game 1 Mike Weber will have us all on common ground |

Crazy Stat of Day:
Peyton Manning since 1998: 503 TD passes
All Jets QBs since 1987: 499 TD passes
WOW
Peyton is good but are the Jets QB's that bad too??
Plus Peyton missed a full season...wow |

When one of their best QBs in that time was Chad Pennington...yes, they're bad.
I imagine Buffalo would be in a horrendous comparison too if comparing like 95-present |
