it really was an accident.

a more pleasant experience we shared was during the 04 series against tampa when we were at game 4. i jumped out of my seat after a goal and i landed with both feet square on the arm rests and didn't fall all the while still cheering. i did not intend to do this...and it's never happened since. just one of those things.

sadly, he wasn't with me for game 6. i was pretty close to needing hospitalization.

Why should I say something that I don't agree with? It's possible that the 5 on 5 issues could be fixed, but I don't see much that has been done to arrive at that end. In losing Timonen and Hartnell and adding Del Zotto and Umberger, they got potentially worse at 5 on 5. Why should I say I think they will be better at 5 on 5 if I don't think that will be the case?

Because I have to agree with your opinion? Are your opinions the only valid ones offered here? Sorry, I'm not going to parrot your opinions if I disagree with them. The fact is that they were a mediocre 5 on 5 team last year and didn't do a whole lot to change that in terms of personnel. If there were strategic adjustments, they were not apparent in the pre-season games, so sorry, I'm not going to take it as fact that they will be better, just because you are of the opinion they will be.

Because adding or subtracting players is not the only way a team gets better or worse at 5 on 5 play. A team doesn't have to add a single player to play better as a team. My opinion is simply this. That it's possible that they can play better 5 on 5 hockey as a team. And until they actually play a game, we won't know. How can anyone possibly disagree with that? But you said on a previous post that they haven't gotten any better. How do you know? They haven't played one stinkin game yet!

But yet you state that you won't take it as fact. Is it a fact that they got worse as a team? No, not until they actually play some games! I'm not asking you to take anything as a fact. Nor have I stated that it's a fact that they will be better. I'm simply asking that there is some balance instead of constant pessimism and negativity. There are plenty of good things about this team. But you wouldn't know it from some sources.

Completely missing the point. It's not about an opinion. It's simply about recognizing the possibility that they could get better. And being open to that possibility. And I have not at any point offered that they will be better as fact. And that there are plenty of reason to beleive that it is possible that they could improve in areas such as 5 on 5 play. And that the only truly way to know, is for them to actually play some games. Or you can go with your statement that they have not improved at 5 on 5 play, before they have played one single game.

You've written positive things in passing. But day after day, it's been pessimism, and that is the tone for the season befoe it even begins from many on here. And that's on you. And it is sad.

I just need 30 plus goals to be convinced.

jk, I know what you are saying about him being close, but the 30G criteria isn't enough IMO to make elite.
