You have a habit of severely overrating the offensive upsides of Penguins prospects. - Ryan_Wilson
Almost every other teams throws young talented rookies on top 9 or even top 6 with their stars to help progress them. The pens keep them contained on 4th lines until an injury.. do you really think playing with adams and ebbett with limited playing time is going to help him. I'd rather have him back in swiss elite league playing top line mins with above average players. |

Am I the only one that doesn't want Kapanen on the team this year? Just for him to end up like Bennett; injured all the time, because he has the body of a child? No thanks

If the Flower has a favorite color of pads to use, then he is further gone that I thought he was. It's hockey folks, and not fashion. I can see the Hockey Hall of Fame members rolling over in their graves with this issue. If the Flower can't get his head back into the game, then the Pens should let him go. Price seemed to be on the same track as the Flower, however he finally straightened his act out, and is playing to his abilities. Is hockey going to go the way of MLB, and higher a psychiatrist for these sensitive players? I thought hockey players were tough, but this next generation of players really has me questioning their willingness to play hockey. These long term contracts for ridiculous amounts of money, and the moody players that only come to play when they want to, really has me questioning the sport. So, players, wise up. Quit being so spoiled, and play the game for the love of the game. If you can't then go to the KHL, or get a regular job. GM's quit giving out these ridiculous contracts. If you all were able to stand together on this issue, then the players wouldn't have a choice. Bottom line is, grow up, and quit worrying about your equipment, and if you are having a bad hair day. - OrangeAndBlack1
I read it all.
LOVE FOR THE GAME PLEASE!

Nope, I'm with you on that. Only if it's an emergency situation. I am getting tired of not having a solid F for Sids line though.

Don't mind Kapanen being sent back to Finland (if its best for his development), however I don't want any part of Andrew Ebbett, Craig Adams, etc hogging up a roster spot over the young guys. If that will be the case, I would prefer Kap and Sundqvist get their 9 game look.
BTW - where has Payerl been? No one's been talking about him anymore, eh? |

He looked half decent last year during his call up and I was excited to see what he could do this year in preseason. However, he was on one of the first lists of players being sent back to WB/S. Some said it was because the coaching staff knew what they had in him and wanted a look at other players but who knows. Maybe an injury? |

"GM Jim Rutherford says Kapanen has not OFFICIALLY been reassigned and remains on the Penguins' roster. Sure seems like a technicality."
Figured I'd post the entire tweet from Molinari since that last part was left out. |

Honestly its the best thing for him, I was a huge fan of his father and hope that he has just as good of a career; well hopefully a little better. Smart move by Pens front office and also this means Geno is not far off at all.

This exactly. The kid needs to add some mass or he's going to be broken in half in the NHL. |

I miss the days when you would see Jagr, Lemieux, Coffey, and Lanny Mcdonald driving down the road to the arena, net on the roof of the car, arms out the window holding it on... with three mullets and a stach flappin in the breeze. |

His helmet is simply a tribute to barrasso, and his pads are just to go with the old school jerseys. Are you really that against goalie helmets and pads? This has been going on since the 60s and 70s when they first started wearing helmets. I'm pretty sure fleury's love of the game inspired him to bring back the barrasso helmet.
