Here's the thing, it doesn't just happen at Bills games. It happens at all the Darien Lake concerts as well. I couldn't tell you the last time I went to a concert there and didn't see some girl passed out on the floor in the bathroom BEFORE the concert even starts. I just don't get the point. Why pay all that money just to get so drunk you don't remember even being there? or so drunk you're passed out in the bathroom? Might as well save yourself the ticket money and just party in the parking lot, pass out in your car, and call it day when the concert is over. - HonkFortheGoose
That's true. But I think concerts are generally less family events than sporting events. Plus theres something different about being piss ass drunk at 8pm vs. noon. |

They are the reason it needs to stop. It is embarrassing to me that you will see the young kids doing shots down the line and polish off an entire bottle in an hour.
Last time I was at a Bills game I walked by what had to be at lest 10-12 people passed out from drinking too much in one small section of parking lot.
/end rant. - ImThatGuy
Just because some people get too drunk doesnt mean you have to ruin the fun for everyone else. I like eating, boozing and throwing around a football before games just like most other people that go. If its not your scene then fine, don't ruin it for others who enjoy it. |

In short, any venue that's conducive to allowing to you bring and consume your own alcohol is going to have this problem. - buffalofan19
I dont know if id consider that allowing you to bring your own alcohol. I mean really how are they going to stop people from showing up to the event with alcohol already in their system. It happens at any concert and event in any part of the country, people show up high and drunk regardless. They dont allow these things into the venue it happens outside of it. |

My question is, does this just happen in Buffalo or does it happen at all of these types of venues? I've never attended a concert at a venue like Darien, other than at Darien.
I did go to the Buffalo/Cleveland game in Cleveland in 2012 and there was tailgating going on, but it definitely seemed much more in control than here in Buffalo. As far as the fans in the stadium, I was lucky enough to have been given their Marketing Vice President's club seats, so I wasn't really exposed to the "normal" game experience. |

I think the same thing can be said for any large event. I went to the Indy 500 this year and laughed at the two guys near me that were so drunk they couldn't find their seat (I tried my best to send them to another section but I think the people in that section just sent them right back). Then once they sat down, immediately passed out. They were both completely passed out for the entire race. The one guy was still there well after the race ended and could be there still for all I know.
But at least they can tell their buddies they were there. |

Right, but at Sabres games, there isn't much tailgating going on. There's no room for it. Places like NFL stadiums, outdoor concert venues, have the room and capacity to do that. In fact, one might argue it's even encouraged. |

Those same people could flip that same statement back around on you. Its about the football game and NFL, not drinking yourself blind. If that's not your scene, don't ruin it other who actually enjoy the game. |

People dont need a concert except for the party/fun atmosphere. Where else are people suppose to have fun (if that's their idea of fun) at? |

I went to the Bills game in Tampa last year. It seemed par for the course.
I've been to a game in Kansas City, and I didn't feel it was better or worse. Every city and fanbase has its obnoxious drunks. |

I guess it's just hard for me to comprehend why someone would want to do that. But I suppose that's because I'm a control freak and the thought of being somewhere surrounded by thousands of people and being completely vulnerable sounds like a terrible idea. I would say that it's because I'm a female so I should be on higher alert, except I see females at all these events that are passed out. |

Oh yea, basically any frosh week event/concert at any medium to large sized university will have plenty of that. First time's fun but like you said once someone starts vomiting all over you, that's pretty much when you call it quits |

Youre right and to add on to that may it be frowned upon because hockey is such die hard smaller fan base and like you said theres no literal room for it.
I personally like to go to hockey games more than football but thats just because i love the sport that much more not because theres no drunk people there |

I go to a concert to see the show. Because I want to see the person who's playing and hear the music live.
Guess I'm in the minority. |

I'm lucky that I've never been thrown up on. But I did have some drunk girl that kept pulling on the hood to my coat at a game. I had just about had it with her when her friends realized it was probably better to get her away from me. |

If ur sitting up front then I understand and u wanna know what people who sit there don't get hammered. If ur sitting on the lawn I'm gonna call bs on seeing the person sing live bcz from way back there it's just a stick figure or ur watching them on TV/jumbotron so no different than watching a disc of a live concert on your TV. Not everything is meant for everyone. O wait this is America land of the offended. |

You can still go to the game and enjoy it sober, buzzed or drunk. If you dont want to be around others who drink then there are options. Just dont tailgate and sit in the family section that doesnt allow alcohol. Then you can enjoy the game without any rowdiness. I just get sick of everyone whining about how offended they are when they have to deal with a drunk person every once in a while.
Personally I like the party atmosphere of tailgaiting, going in buzzed and buying 2 beers for the game to keep it going. Bring a sandwich for halftime and you're all set in my book. |

Wrong. I sit on the lawn more often than not because it affords me the opportunity to go to more events. You're still there hearing the music live. A TV recording or the produced album sounds much different. |

perfectly said and would be applicable to myself...look people can do what they want i really dont care as long as its not going to directly affect myself.
ex.) having some falling on you all game because they cant stand up and spilling beer on your jersey (has happened before) is not okay |
