You can afford to be patient with minor league teams.

Coburn and VLC to Toronto for Phaneuf?
- BiggE

Hmmm...the salaries match...man. If Phaneuf wasn't signed for forever, I'd seriously, seriously consider that

True; the problem is he's got slow feet -- his skating's gonna go, I think

One good thing, though: He'd let it go on the PP. That guy will pump pucks on net

Plus think how much fun we'll have when Hartnell comes into town!

Embiid officially changed his name. I think he's going by Sam Baba-Bowie these days,

Sit him down! 12:16 of ice time has shown us all we need to see!

I'd like another look at Blair Jones. Something has been off about the Lecavalier line to me throughout the preseason and it might be the mixture of the three. Most recently Raffl lookes out of place in my opinion.

Streit already does that.

Well, he does when we can actually get set up in the offensive zone.

I think they were outplayed by a better team. But not outworked.
- MJL

Maybe. With Boychuk being traded, losing Iginla to UFA and David Krejci being hurt, I look at last night's game being a blown opportunity. There were a lot of new comers in that line up that we should have been harder on. We need more crisp passing and the ability to make the smart plays under pressure.

I think that will come with time. Of course, the same goes for pretty much every team as they play more games in Oct.

It certainly was a blown opportunity. Even though they were outplayed, they still had a legitimate chance to get a point on the road, against a top team.

The passing was off last night at times. Need to be sharper offensively and on breakouts.

I thought the passing was one of the differences between the two teams.

Yeah, Bruins passing was all around sharper than Flyers. Hopefully they look better tonight.

Two guys didn't allow any goals (Niemi & Jones), but one of them faced only 3 shots
