They skated out, had some weird low-budget pyrotechnic show, and introduced the entire team, exactly like they did the year before, and the year before that, and the year before that, and....

That being said, what made it seem even worse was the fact that MSG's sound equipment is absolutely terrible. That entire operation looks like it's produced out of somebody's basement.

That just means their forwards shooting accuracy sucks.

The overall atmosphere in the building as soon as you walked in was like a midseason game. It didn't seem like they really did anything to try and get the fans excited, which is important when you know the on ice product is subpar.

Then the video froze and we all had to sit there for 5 mins before the brought the players out to be introduced.

I know. Ted Black seems to be taking the approach of "well, we're terrible, nothing we can do", which is wrong. For a market that loves to pat itself on the back about how much it loves the sport, the in-game experience at the arena has been downright embarrassing for years. Even in 2010, when they won the division, it was lacking.

With the amount of guys that are still here but injured, they should have had some of them out in the front of the building greeting the fans and stuff.

Also, fair warning for anyone that saw the article about the added food at concessions. I saw none of it up on the 300 level. Had to go down to the 100 level to get something other than a cheeseburger, pizza, nachos or hot dog.

I completely agree, Nolan sayid they lacked effort I think they just lack skill. If that's what we are gonna see outta this team for the entire year mceichel is a lock.

I've been saying it for years. The wingers are almost as important on faceoffs as centers are nowadays. More than half of them now go to the winger that happens to get there first.

Overall, if you look at the stats, that game was close. I can't even imagine what the Min/Col game looked like, because the stats in that game were just awful.

Minnesota outshot Colorado 48-16. The weird part is, Colorado had 4 PP chances to Minnesota's 2. Minnesota also won 32 FO to Colorado's 23

We were outshot by a pretty wide margin though.... 40-22. We did kill them in blocked shots though.
