Why rush these kids though. Maybe they can put up points but their bodies are too small. Same with Horvat. rushing them doesn't make a lot of sense. Send horvat to modo and get him mentored by any number of old canucks over there - Gradin Naslund etc.

Not sure Modo would be the best place for him but i just don't see how a fourth year in the OHL will be all that helpful in his development.

As opposed to some here, i think playing on the larger ice surface (against men) would be great in terms of improving his skating, speed and offensive ability. All that room to make plays, move the puck, deke it out gain confidence etc etc etc.

The kid can flat out play defensive hockey and win faceoffs, a half season on the big ice could in theory push his offensive tools forward. Another season in London playing behind Domi once again on a highly defensive team would simply be more of the same.

All that to say, hope he sticks with the Canucks
