Maybe not to you, but to me, and more importantly both Ken Holland and Mike Babcock, he has. For the record, he has 3 career goals (including 1 in the playoffs where no one else without a letter on their jersey scored). As players such as Zetterberg and Datsyuk have proven, hard work pays out more than just pure skill, See; Ales Hemsky, Bobby Ryan, etc. When you have bottom sixers that never quit on a play or a game, it's contagious. Not only are your best players your hardest workers, but guys like Glendening and Miller never stop playing and do everything they can to win despite not having or being able to display the same kind of skill. The guy is a perfect 4th liner and FFS all of the "fans" on here b!tch and moan about him! I've seen him play in almost every single game at the NHL level and he's never cost this team a game. He's not an issue. Dan Cleary and Kyle Quincey? That's an entirely different story. Everyone needs to (frank)ing get off the 2nd-year 4th-liner's back and just enjoy some good hockey or shut the (frank) up.

You can keep your head stuck in the sand... and keep telling yourself that he's a "perfect 4th liner" if you want to. But it doesn't change the fact I see him lose just about every big important faceoff he takes. I like the fact he works hard... and I don't take that away from him. But a lot of people think he simply does not have the skill to be in the NHL. I watched him play in GR for a while. He was an average player AT BEST in GR. If you think just being a hard worker is enough to earn a NHL roster spot then you need to put away your crack pipe. He can still prove some of us wrong... but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. If Holland hadn't made that terrible trade and lost Jarnkrok... we might be seeing him centering the 4th line.

I honestly think Glendening is a much better winger than a center due to his terrible face off skillset. He digs in the corners and backchecks very well and has a decent shot for his skill level, I'd throw him to the wings and let Weiss/Sheahan/Anderson take the bottom 3 line centering spots.

Agree with you here. I'd rather see Anderson at center where I think he's more effective. He's one of the reasons the Griffins won the Calder Cup and he was very effective at center. Glendening has decent size and is basically a grinder and an average penalty killer with no offensive upside. And it's not that any of us Glendening skeptics want him to fail... heck I'd love him to prove me wrong and turn into a great player. I just don't think it will happen. It's a total disappointment Jarnkrok never got a shot to take that job since he was their best prospect in the system that played center.

Wish Calle got to play with us and show Holland what he's made of.
