Big question: Should I stay up all night to watch this game? Where I live, I have to be up until 3am-ish to finish a game. Will it be worth it or will I regret it?

He was on crutches last night. Hexy was pessimistic, saying he expects him to miss an extended period of time.

This morning apparently some MRI or Xray or something was done and it was "good news", so hopefully he's day to day now as opposed to week to week.

Once we hear the prognosis pending his Monday meeting with a specialist it's probably best to just think of him as out of the lineup indefinitely.

Certainly fair. I was just going with that news off twitter I saw that said he got "good news".

In the end, it's all speculation anyway. It's not like I'm putting 100% stock into what I've read so far, because you and I both are familiar with the bullpoop the Flyers pull with injuries

1. He's not playing very well right now, maybe let him try his luck with some easier matchups,

2. Technically 36-40-18 would be the "4th-line", although I didn't list it that way because I was wary of inciting the "Umberger and VL are not 4th-line players" argument.

3. Anything to break up 10-40-17 revisited.

My New Seasons resolution is to list whatever line Giroux is on as the 4th line to avoid the nonsensical ravings of line numbers.

MDZ is an better version of Gustafsson.

Would not mind MAB if healthy as a depth guy.

It's not panic. It's putting in your best skating defenseman. No Coburn. No Kimmo.

Playing defense in the NHL requires more then skating.

AMac is, to sum up, a solid 2nd pair NHL defenseman. Now that is my opinion and the opinion of most scouts and most folks on this thread.

Philadelphia has dominated the Canadiens in recent seasons, winning two straight, four of five and 10 of the last 13 encounters. Montreal also has lost its last seven trips to the City of Brotherly Love, having last won in Philly on April 2, 2010. Including the playoffs, the Habs have dropped 10 in a row at Wells Fargo Center.

FWIW, I'd move Simmonds to the left side, stack the 1st line and go with:

Simmonds-G-Jake
Bellemare-VLC-Raffl
Umberger-Coots-Read
Raffl-Schenn-Akeson

You can always swap VLC and Schenn on occasion and Bellemare and Schenn now and then as well

The Flyers are doing now what they should have started doing the second they lost Pronger and looked at the birth certificate of Timonen. They are doing it now involuntarily and having it shoved down their throats.

So trading Carter and Richards for younger players and draft picks doesn't count?
