I never said he was on the fourth line, he wasn't on any line to end the game. - Scooby_Doo
Why does demotion happen so often with Kassian? He's had 4 NHL coaches in 3 seasons. Its Kassian's most consistent trait. I guess thats the answer right there. He worked his way up last season when the Vets gave up and that was a rare step forward.... but he gets buried a lot. |

I'm not saying the Oilers out played the Canucks for half the game, I'm contesting that the Canucks BADLY outplayed the Oilers for more than that. Lots of PP time so I suppose they should have. - Jeropotato
Edmonton out skated us big time. I don't think we will do well against the best the west has to offer. Higgins was our best player last night. Sedin line was our best line. Goaltending was not good. The defensive lapses were sad. We did enough to win but we were outskated by a younger faster team most of the game. If Edmonton gets their $hit together they will be dangerous. |

We got lucky last night for sure, a lot of clean up needs to be done and as you said, we've got guys playing out of position (Richardson/Higgins) and our goaltending was shiddy! |

So far the first line looks good . Bonino belongs 2 nd line centre , I don't like Higgins and Burrows as second liners. Vey has looked good and Mathias Dorsett also. The rest have looked bad.
D has been solid except for Sbisa.
Miller will be backup within two months |

The way the line-up should look…
Daniel Henrik Vrbata
Burrows Bonino Vey
Higgins Horvat Kassian
Richardson Matthias Dorsett
That Vey kid is really offensively talented, defensively not so much, I don't like him at center but on the wing he sure finds some open ice and he's not afraid to hang onto the puck.
Oh - and Burrows looks good….so far. |

If Kassian is not going to play top 6 you need to trade him.
Package Markstrom Hansen Kassian and try to get a second liner.
Burrows Higgins Horvat would be a good third line |

Ya I don't have an issue with that, but, he was a solid third liner last year. He just seems like he doesn't really have it between the ears to be a consistent player. But man he's got all the tools to be successful. |

Oh - I talked (PM'd) to Bieksa#3 and he said he forgot about setting his roster, so he should be on it today. |

Ffs everyone stop complaining about goaltending. No goalie on the planet never let's in soft goals. It's all about winning and last I checked we won. I said it before the season started and I'll say it again good pp and good pk take the shackles off the twins and we'll be fine. Stop focusing on one of our best positions saying it will cost us the second line is what worries me but not her than that we are going to surprise this year in truly believe. |

They will chanting for Eddie soon enough in Rogers Arena. It will be a good test to see how Linden & Benning deal with yet another goaltender situation. |

It is not all about winning. Look at how they won, and will that same formula work against teams that are not consistently winning top 5 draft picks.
Don't get fooled by the fancy book cover.
If that same formula works against the high end teams then we will shut up . We squeaked by the Mighty Oilers and the Mighty Flames. There is reason to be concerned.
That said we have 4 points |

Not only that, you'd think that Canuck fans would be used to goalies who start out slow by now.

It's early in the year, real good hockey doesn't start until mid November when the good teams start to separate themselves a bit. Miller hasn't played great as a whole in the first two games, but he did make some good saves late in the game last night.
They'll be fine with both this year, splitting the games, next year Lack should take the reigns and they'll trade Miller by the TDL. I don't see Benning as a guy that lets things sit and fester. |
