It's early in the year, real good hockey doesn't start until mid November when the good teams start to separate themselves a bit. Miller hasn't played great as a whole in the first two games, but he did make some good saves late in the game last night.
They'll be fine with both this yearn, splitting the games, next year Lack should take the reigns and they'll trade Miller by the TDL. I don't see Benning as a guy that lets things sit and fester. - LeftCoaster
Agreed.
True about Miller making some good saves last night but he still doesn't give me any added confidence. Admittedly, that is probably due to my bias against him. |

I think fans will flip out if Lack gets traded and Miller is mediocre. That would enshrine us forever as the worst franchise in sports . Vancouver Grizzlies would be finally able to RIP |

I feel the exact same way, but he turned it on late when the team needed him to and looked really good in the shootout. |

Doubt it, I don't think Willie will let that happen even if Lack is playing well. If every coach in the league started playing their backup more after some good starts they'd be around 15 goalie controversies a year.

So far the first line looks good . Bonino belongs 2 nd line centre , I don't like Higgins and Burrows as second liners. Vey has looked good and Mathias Dorsett also. The rest have looked bad.
D has been solid except for Sbisa.
Miller will be backup within two months - VANTEL
I can agree with all this except Miller. He has two wins though he has been below average he made the saves needed to win. He is gaining confidence and I think he will improve. I like the way he handles the puck. Something all our goalie lacked in the past is stick skills and when to involve themselves in the play. Once he gets more used to the team in front of him that will improve his play drastically. No more second guessing when to play the puck.
BTW I am still not sold on Miller this is just an optimistic evaluation.

He gave up nothing in the 3rd and the shootout. He got beat on some savable shots, but the defensive breakdowns were pretty hefty on at least 3 of the goals. I'll say Miller has still got room to improve, but when his weaker games have been wins, you can be too worried.
Presuming we beat Edmonton again on Friday, let's panic after the Lightning game. |

It is not all about winning. Look at how they won, and will that same formula work against teams that are not consistently winning top 5 draft picks.
Don't get fooled by the fancy book cover.
If that same formula works against the high end teams then we will shut up . We squeaked by the Mighty Oilers and the Mighty Flames. There is reason to be concerned.
That said we have 4 points - VANTEL
This. Unless we improve we will be an entertaining but below .500 team. Which I'm fine with but if we're gonna lose I'd rather let Lack play... Also agree with you aboout trading Kass if he isn't going to get top 6 minutes or at least some PP time... His value is depreciating daily |

All good, I just don't think the folks in the centre of the universe understand our needs and desires...
We are open minded but not blind, welcoming but not pushovers...
And I agree with bezz from earlier, what is their fascination with Messier? Who is running the show(s) coming out of Torronna? |

I don't think having him as a 3rd line RW a is horrible but can we get a better value in a trade ? If not we know his limit is a 3 Rd liner. |

I think he's being groomed for some position or another. Doing all of those Rogers commercials and now getting air time. I guess he gave up on a position with the Rangers
Edit: Maybe Trev could give him a job as his personal assistant |

True.
Let's see how he handles himself after getting lit up. The first road trip should provide that opportunity. |

I can't wait for the day that VP of operations Mark Messier introduces the 2016 hockey schedule and gets so emotional he cries on live tv again like the fool he is. |

I don't think they will trade him but he needs to get an extended opportunity to succeed because he is going to just stagnate and IMO he doesn't have the dedication to play as a 3rd liner in the NHL. I think if he isn't making the big bucks as a top 6 fwd he will fall off the edge of the earth. Doesn't play a grinding style |
