In general the amount of NMC/NTC given to players is alarming when you factor in how often players waive it. I get it that one wants some control but IMO the top 10% are the only ones that deserve that type of power. - dadeadhead
Wouldn't surprise me if a rule like that is introduced in the next round of CBA negotiations.
Kinda like the "super 2" rule in MLB |

So glad at how the Amerks played yesterday. Armia had a fantastic game, dirty dangles everywhere. Was also glad to see the team react after Carrier, in his first professional game was turtled after a fight then had his helmeted head slammed to the ice. Gonna be a great Amerks season cant wait for tonight's game |

I remember watching the Hawks top line of Arnason, Calder and Bell each score 20 goals one season and the Hawks kept promoting how they were the future of the Hawks. All you can hope for during a rebuild is some glimmers of hope. My dad and I always joke about how 10 years ago we would walk out of the game saying "we only lost by two..good game" and how our standards have changed to even if they win we find a flaw to complain about. - waitforawhistle
I remember we had those days in the mid-2000s era. Oh, how times have changed |

In the last blog, a carryover conversation from the prior blog regarding teachers salries...I belive Sippyd satted that the average pay for Buffalo teachers was below $40,000.
check this out... http://rocdocs.democratan...ducator-salaries-new-york
I lists teachers salary by name and year Buffalo Public School System ... it took me 60 pages of 50 records each page ... that is 3,000 records to get to a salary down close to $60,000. They were sorted highest to lowest...3,000 records to get down to $60,000 .... thetr is simply NO WAY the average salary for teachers in that school system are anywhere near that low. Maybe a 1st year teacher is at $40,000 or so.

Girgensons will be skating between Cody Hodgson and Brian Gionta while Reinhart will be between two behemoths in Marcus Foligno and Chris Stewart.
Those lines make more sense now... |

If Teddy is concerned about Reinhart's physical liabilities, that's gotta be the best possible tandem to pair him with. |

I just hope they score some goal tonight. Can't wait to watch.
On a side note, am I the only one who likes our 3rd Jersey? |

yup, in Buffalo Public School System, over $50,000...not "well under $40,000". - IonSabres
Using that site out of the 4797 teachers that were paid by Buffalo in the 12/13 year 3480(72.5%) of them made 40k or more and the vast majority made 50k or more. |

Probably (sorry). I like them from the back, the whole goldilocks yellow bit just isn't doing it for me.
Unless we've changed them this year and im oblivious |

No but I think a 3rd jersey is a great way to do something unique and its, to say the least, a unique attempt at a 3rd. I like the placement of the captain patches and style of them, and I like the 'sabre' going up each sleeve; When they skate it looks like they are wielding a blade. Plus, I've read a lot about how the sharks liked to wear their 3rds in the playoffs because they were lighter and call me crazy but it seems like the fabric on our 3rd uniform is way lighter than a standard Reebok edge uniform and from what I can tell, we tend to play better when we wear them. Wonder if any of our guys have said they can feel the weight difference?

The reaction on Steve Ott's face when they first leaked the jersey's pretty much told me how they felt.
I like the design ideas including the one's you mentioned, the colour scheme is a deal breaker though. |

Well I personally think that the shade of blue they use is horrible and the shade of yellow way off. And the new logo isn't our original logo, either, its an updated pile of rubbish with too many differences and piping. Compare the original to the peice of junk they are passing off as the original now, our inaugural logo was so much more sleek and our 40th anniversary uniform was AMAZING. Wish we would use those colors on the surrent set and get rid of all that obnoxious grey trim.
But our 3rd is good for what they had to work with, which is a hideous color palette and an obnoxious take on our original uniforms.
