It helps that their goalie could be picked 3rd (out of goalies) in my local mens league

Although I think he is a very good and energetic player I don't know how his goals this season prove anything more than that. Both were grinder goals. Let's not all fall into the same over value of a couple goals like we did with paille. I want to see a couple goal scorers skill type goals first.

I will admit Girgensons is better than paille I just don't want everyone to get too excited.

The statement was about him being more than a third liner. I don't think one or two goals makes more. Does he have that potential yes. But on a cup team I think he is a 2nd line winger or more likely a 3rd liner. But he is a team leader.

Who is too excited? He not Afinogenov, and of his 10 career goals, at least half of them are highlight reel.
