I'm open to all ideas, just as long as it improves the club in some way. - ob18
If they can't turn it around, I'd be looking at selling heavy at the TDL. |

I don't think Schenn is necessarily a loss if he's moved, it depends on the return.
Moves like Ladd or Eriksson, would probably qualify as that, because they'd ultimately be short term fixes. But let's say they could swing a deal that was built around Schenn for a kid like Ryan Murphy. In a case like that you're moving youth for youth to shore up a weak spot from a strength.
Of course, I can't see the Canes trading Murphy for Schenn, even with their depleted center corps - Jsaquella
I would rather move Schenn for a prospect and/or pick than a veteran NHLer. I don't think the Flyers should make any move unless it helps the future of the team. Ladd and Eriksson are gone in 2 years. Schenn is a rfa in 2 years. |

As would I. I'm not totally against moving him for a slightly older winger, but 6 or 7 years of age difference, combined with a significantly bigger cap hit and pending UFA is not ideal. |

Flyers would lock up Ladd when they're trimming down all the excess cap space from inserting guys with ELC's on D.
The other option is we trade the Schenn's for Mike Richards and a slew of LA's draft picks. |

I just feel Schenn has never gotten the right opportunity here. Trading him for another under achieving prospect would be risky imo. I feel it will go a long way if Schenn is given the opportunity to play center and given a RW like Voracek. I feel like he's spent more than half of his career with Briere or VL and the other half moving all around the lineup from center to wing. |

In the East, the only teams that MacDonald would not be equal to or better as the #3 defenseman, are Pittsburgh, Washington, and the Rangers.

I'd be OK with that, but you have Lecavalier.
They can't trade him. They can't play him on wing. They have limited options. |

Ladd will be 30 when he receives that extension. He'll likely want at least 5 years and a lot of money. Is that something this team should be doing? He's a good player, but he's not a great player.
LA wouldn't do that. They have put a premium on draft picks. |

I don't think there is any doubt that moving him around has not been good for him. He's either a center or a winger. And I'm glad that Berube decided to move Bellmare up and leave Schenn at LW. That's where he belongs in my opinion.

I know. Now that he's out for a couple weeks, they have the opportunity for Schenn. Why not put Simmonds on G's line and Jake on Schenn's line? |

All this trading Giroux stuff is retarded. You don't trade a guy of his caliber. Ever. The Pens were horrible defensively the last few years. Is that Crosby's fault too? Maybe the Pens should trade him. |

Berube doesn't want to juggle him around. He's going to be a LW here.
He' had some success at wing in the past, but he's been unimpressive there thus far. It's like he's in a fog. He's got to simplfy his game |

He's best role is center, he looks lost most of the time at LW |

He's had equal amount of time where he has also looked lost at Center. And if you look at his skill set, it screams wing.

They are 0-2-1. Could be 3-0-0. Teams have bad starts. It's not how you start, but how you finish. In the words of that tool Aaron Rodgers, R-E-L-A-X. |
