Im sure even MacT himself stated that the gap has closed a bit but not enough so it appears even the GM isnt thinking playoffs

I'd expect just about anyone with skating ability at an ECHL level to post similar numbers.

Lots of Fan's got that wrong, if it was Bowman or Mike Babcock it would not be playoff immediately, what some other Fan's are saying is that with a good Coach the Oil should improve in general and continue to improve, something that didn't happen last season, last season was a step backwards imo.

I've seen encouraging signs from Eakins. But for every good one, I see a bad one. And they don't exactly weigh each other out in amplitude.

I dont think anyone here would disagree that last season was a step back coz it was just brutal but again how many coaches and systems do we have to burn through before we realise that maybe its not 100% on the coach that maybe some of our own players should be held accountable?

Could be right. I want to give Eakins the benefit of the doubt that he can improve as a coach over last year. Still think it's an awful roster over all so I'm not holding my breath.

Only till I get out there to fix this situation. Got my kit packed with pills, coat hangers, bananas and grease to put on the stairs to make it look like an "accident".

As we all know when a GM takes over the team he wants to put his own people in place and Kruger wasnt a guy that MacT hired to be the coach...its the name of the game and all GMs do it

You might be right. I think as GM , Mac T just couldn't relate to Krugers fluffy philosophies on coaching. Gotta be on the same page or you're doomed for failure. If that's the case, why prolong the agony?

Oh for sure this team still needs some adding(players) but improvement still needs to be see this season and the next one for Eakins to remain the coach.
And I still believe that the First Line will not succeed the way it's with Hall-Nudge-Eberle, they might dominate when playing at home against weak teams or PP but when playing in the road is a different game.

Sure. My 'untouchables' list is pretty short. I can see improving at Center , but getting not 1 but 2 d men and a legit starting goalie if need be is going to be tough.
