I know this game was done the second Nuge was scratched. Maybe before that. Still Eakins has to go. Early in the game, first PP and Pouliot is on the first shift. I might have missed the memo where he became something other than filler. I like Jesse and Henricks better. Not to mention you are down by two. Why not put your two highest goal scorers on the same line. He has tried everything else. He is not utilizing the players based on their skill sets. He is also not getting anything out of this team.

MacT should also be looked at. We knew we have an injury prone first line center. How do we go with 2 rookies. Plus his Def acquisitions looked silly. I am sorry but at this point the rookies are looking better than Fayne. Coaches and GMs have been fired for less.

But at the price we have him locked into, who could we get of his calibre that will sign in Edmonton? Plus he is no where near reaching his potential. I agree he would be the one to trade but there is no way we would get his talent back at his age, potential and contract price. I think people now realize that Sam, although small, was anchoring our second line. I like Purcell but he is a third line winger. We need a 1-2 center. Plus how Does Morozov and Nurse get the call over Lander and Marincin/Klef. Looks to me like we went into the game planning to lose.

I only say Ebs coz he half asses it alot and doresnt bring it every game...I wont deny that he doesnt have potential but this is a time when we need our star players to be I dunno....star players esp at 6 mil per season...I would like to see him perform without Hall being there to hold him up

we finished 3rd last, 7th last and twice dead last with sam. we've been steamrolled multiple times by the kings with sam in the lineup.

I can see a rebuild of the rebuild being inevitable , but in doing so, Katz will have to satisfy the fans need for blood, so the front office will need to fall.

The top line gets moved, along with Schultz for pucks and prospects of a certain character.
Lowe and Mac T are fired as a result.
What's his face, Bob Nicholson, takes over as el presidente, hires his own GM, who hires his own coach.
Rebuild starts from back end.

I think I would entertain the idea of giving Messier a shot at running this team. I'd prefer him behind the bench but I'd just like to see a guy like him (preferably HIM) helping guide this team.

We all have a fire in our bellies and it just needs to emerge. This Oilers team is very cold, they just don't care. Again, I was wrong about Yak...he's got the fire I think.
