Petry is a healthy scratch, not injured, not sick, healthy scratch.....

What's your defense for that Jeropotato? Has Petry been our worst D in the first 2 games?

Well at least in his short time in Van he did bring something that city has and never will see......a cup ring.

The city has seen it, but the canucks have not.

curious, for the guys who are saying Fire Eakins...who do they plan on having replace him, and saying anyone would be better than Eakins is not an answer.

Whats the point of dropping a coach just to add another coach with little to no NHL experience? There isnt like there is some NHL savy coach just waiting to be picked up.

His defense for that is he isn't arguing that Eakins is flawless, just that his usage of Yakupov so far (2 (frank)ing games) is completely validated- as it was last year. He, along with everyone else here, knows that Eakins makes some really strange roster decisions. We'll see how it goes this game. I personally hope Hunt gets lit-up so they can finally send him down and bring up Marincin.

Yes, it was. Jero tried to explain it to you, but you ignored it. Playing Yak and Leon together gives him the chance to feed them favourable zone starts and matchups while not hurting their confidence and allowing them to develop chemistry that they'll hopefully have for the next decade of playing here. If he were to play them on separate lines, however, he wouldn't have the same freedom to shelter either player as much as he'd have to break up the Perron- Arco- Purcell line which, to date, has operated in a very similar fashion to the 1st line taking a fair deal of tough opposition and exceeding expectations (8 points between the trio).

Breaking up what is currently the team's best line just for the sake of giving Yakupov an extra couple minutes of ice time (in which he isn't guaranteed to succeed in) would be equally as big of a folly.

I agree with some of this but Eakins needs to give Yak more PP time even if it's with Hall and Nudge.

Not sure about his exact duties but these years working under Sutter has to have helped him pick up Sutter's system and tactics. LA is one of the most well structured teams in the league and even seem to develop young players pretty well.

sorry, you may buy that but it's a load of poop IMO. All he did was try and deflect the criticism with what if's, the best players need to play the most minutes. He ruined Yakupov last year, and now that he's back on track he's not playing him as much as he should be.

I didn't ignore it, it was just a garbage excuse for an explanation, that you seemed to have bought.

On the bright side Montreal lost 7-1 and they started planning a parade already.

Won't be so bad when we lose 14-1 tonight with that it mind.
