I think way to much is being made of the 7-1 drubbing on mtl. Yes the Canadiens are a good team but that was their fourth road game and they had yet to lose, basically it was going to happen sooner or later. Tampa also squeaked by Florida so there is that. I think its unlikely the lightning just barely beat the panthers every time they play them just like I doubt they beat mtl every game by that much. They broke out and likely (if I where to bet ) won't have that kind of outcome two nights in a row no matter who they are playing.

Both teams have had offensive outbursts and I think we are overdue for a defensive game. I think this one will be a low-scoring goalie duel.

I'm excited for this one should be a good test to see where we are at. TB should be one of the top teams in the East this year.

NJ has a bad habit of making second rate goalies look like Vezina candidates. I only hope tonight isn't one of those nights.

NJ needs to look to the patience TB has shown towards Hedman letting him develop on the ice instead of the pressbox for some ideas on what to do with Larsson.

NJ could learn a lot from TB in terms of drafting and dealing with young talent.
