I have a big problem with the way our team is being coached. What is Willie doing? It's obvious that he's a rookie NHL coach because decisions being made are questionable at best.

Hanson is one of our best players and deserves more respect than is being shown by this coaching staff. He's trying to do too much out there to make up for the lack of preparation and glaring coaching mistakes. Willie should be listening to his players instead of trying to teach. Obviously hasn't shaken off the instincts of a minor league coach.

Kassian is one of the leagues premier power forwards. Playing him on the 3rd or 4th line is ludicrous. He's a predator and predators need time to hunt. Give him the ice time he's earned and watch opponents cower in the corners. Size and aggression wins in this league, not skill. Boston taught us that. Team management obviously has short memories.

Once again, Twins being played too much. Their skills are on the decline and it showed Saturday night. Selfish players. They have no idea how to use their teammates. Puck hogs extraordinaire. Might as well have kept Kesler and made him the captain. Kesler is the type of player you want your prospect to emulate. Not soft europeans.

What this team needs is a motivator, not a teacher. Most of these guys are vets and if they haven't learned the game by now they will never learn (that's a message to you Trevor and Jim). Big mistake firing one of the best motivators in NHL history. This team was on the right track, pieces were falling into place, and a new identity was being born. Torts is still on payroll right? Maybe it's not too late to right a wrong and get him back behind the bench.

So far, the start of this season has been a disaster.

Call it teaching or buying into a system, the last 3 coaches have been the same way. The last 2 coaches have also been on Kassian for a reason, not understanding the system. Learn to take care of your own end first! That’s something Cody Hodgson still doesn’t know. The goals will come, goals against? Not sure.

Wonder if we'll ever see Gillis back as GM? If not, I'd love to see Ron Delorme promoted to GM duties after Benning's eventually fired.

Look at the depth Benning has brought to the team in such a short time. Gillis would have to spend a month in the sleep room to ponder a fair offer.

Benning is just standing on the shoulders of greater men. Im willing to bet all of the trade ideas Benning used had been passed along to Gilman from Gillis

Ryan Kesler Facts ‏@rk17_facts · 21h21 hours ago
@BrowntoBure @mynext30yrs is it any coincidence that the person who used to run the Canucks twitter is gone after Kesler was traded?

Some crazy stuff going on, but I guess it all comes with the pay cheque and you get paid what you earn.

This guy nailed it.

I think it was a girl before. Sorry to burst your bubble; maybe Kesler is a switch hitter, you may still have a chance...

So players can't even hook up with the media-related employees? I guess it was probably because he's a married man so Linden took care of it. Benning was BS'ing about wanted to keep Kesler then.

Probably have some non-fraternization clause in their contracts. I'd imagine all that attention from Kes made her pretty unpopular with coworkers as well. Who would all be well aware that he's married.

Does Kesler's wife live in a cave? How does she not hear about this stuff?

Now that he lives in Cali, he better watch his step. Divorce settlements have a tendency to be a bit more harsh than in Canada.

Some GF's/wives live in denial, either that or she's well aware and does the same while living the life of a millionaire.
