In Gillis' entire time as GM, he never brought in someone for the top six that could produce. Booth failed... and that was the only top six player he traded for. Higgins was brought in for the bottom six. He stops scoring after new years typically....

Samuelsson.  until his body failed. 
(unless you don't consider him top 6 but we were so thin at the time, that is where he played.) 
But Booth didn't work out and he never addressed the need for another top 6 player who could score. 
Higgins goal production did dry up when so many were saying he was on pace for 20+ before the calendar change.  |

Even the Leafs got that scoreline against NYR. The other two Isles games have been against the Canes.
I think that they're majorly improved, but it's too early to start advocating for playoffs already.... |

Honestly. RNH is one of there best players. But I give the string bean props for standing up for himself and not sending a good after hammer.
Kid battled his own fight, and i respect him for that. |
