Gang issues up there too. Victorville? Apple Valley? I teach in San Bernardino.
- SoCalSabres

I live in Apple Valley. Its the quit'est of the the few neighboring cities. Its getting worse as the years go on. As LA and is continuing to send those people out this way. They literally hand out flyers down there about the section 8 and free assisted living to get them up here. Lucky for me at the moment theyre sticking to Victorville and Adelanto mostly. But still see more and more where im at.

My buddy lives in East Highland. I spent a portion of my life in San Bernardino.

Goes along with what 89 was saying yesterday. My money is on TM moving the Isles 1st or Hodgson for a young player. I imagine if Myers gets moved it will be closer to the deadline when a gm who's facing the axe needs to make a big move to save his job.

I do not like the idea of moving a first round pick in this years draft.

The top end of this draft is good, but I'd move the St. Louis pick. That'll be a later 1st anyway.

I need to see what the Isles do more before I decide whether or not I'd be willing to move that one.

Agreed, id wait until trade deadline before moving any first round pick. Never know how st. louis ends up doing this year.

I wouldn't move ours, but I'd definitely entertain offers for the other two. This draft isn't deep, it's top heavy. We have enough 2nd/3rd line 2nd/3rd pair prospects in the organization. If they can make a deal for a young player who's already proven his capabilities at the nhl level they should take it.

Exactly. At some point you can't keep all the players you draft with the ridiculous amount of picks we've had. There are contract restrictions. I'm fairly certain that Murray has mentioned that at some point things need to be packaged together and upgraded. It's just a matter of when he feels the right time is to do that.

Yup, Too bad Darcy was around in 2013, I bet Murray pulls the trigger on that Seguin deal right away.

It'll be interesting to see who's available come draft day, for the right guy, I would definitely consider moving our other two 1st rounders and more.

If it turns out that the islanders tank which fingers crossed they do, then I want to keep that pick.

I think they'd have to have long term injuries to end up in the bottom 10. They've got enough talent to probably hold down a wild card spot.

Off the top of my head, guys like Smith-Pelley, Saad, Tatar, Haula/Coyle, Pearson. Then you've got guys a level above that like Evander Kane, Jordan Eberle or ROR. All young guys with upside who have proven they can get it done at the NHL level. Tricky part is finding the guy who is available as a lot of these players tend to not be for sale.

There's a lot of speculation, though most of it could be baseless, that Edmonton needs a major shakeup, and he's the candidate to be the casualty. Both teams would probably need to add pieces around the two to even things out, but if there's one guy I would want in a "realistic" return for Myers, he's it.

I would as well but the fact that he's a small winger may scare Murray off.

Correct. You're not going to be able to get him, but a guy that's like him. Someone else that's about to break in like he did last year. I don't think we see any of these types of moves from Murray until much later in the season though. Gotta wait and see if anyone breaks out at all.

Given some thought, i honestly dont understand all this myers trade talk. Management better be damn sure ristolainen is going to be a top 2 Dman, and one if not both of zadorov and mccabe becomes top 4 in a few years. If not they better plan on bringing back a young NHL dman with upside.

The guy is 24 years old and can skate with that massive frame. I feel like his best years are still far ahead of him and with the timeline this team seems to be on it just doesnt make sense.

He is going to play 25+ a night here and so far he has been one of our best players. I hate comparing him to chara so i wont. I simply think he hasnt hit his potential and regardless of what anyone says, he does in fact have the ability to take games over.

i dont want to see him traded either because he and girgs often look like the only nhl players on the ice but like many others said if theres a deal you cant refuse you have to take it.

do you really think goalies are our need? i think its our most solidified position in the pipeline, having said that you should draft 1 a year anyway.
