I actually agree with this for the most part and its why i say trade the schenns... We traded a player who actually mattered last year for a player that ended up not mattering and it sparked them to the playoffs... Nhl gm's call now, lines are open

He was less awful than Hartnell last night, if thats any consolation.

Brayden Schenn had a stronger game last night but still it seems something is missing. For a kid given a chance to be a go to guy and play on top line to start the season there just seems something missing. He seems to not be up on his skates and something just doesn't pass the eye test.

I advocated patience for Schenn before but now I am thinking maybe it is best to move him. I wasn't banging down the door for Evander kane but maybe now it is time to try and get a guy like that. A hard nosed skilled player. Guys like Kane and Marchand are wieners to play against but also have the skill to pop in 30 goals/

Close to what? They are 27th in the league at 5 on 5 goal differential behind Carolina and tied with Buffalo. The played well for parts of those games but still lost. Since when did moral victories become some kind of rallying point for Flyers fans? Are we now Edmonton fans?

They are taking less penalties. That is a positive. Oh and Wayne Simmonds is playing great. Special teams are still very good. That is all I can think of in terms of true positives.

same garbage as last year...can't put 60 minutes together. The mistakes have to be expected simply because the defense is just not very good the way it's constructed.....when I say there are a lot of reasons why the D struggles with consistency...lot stands for Lack Of Talent.... I realize you think Luke Schenn has room for growth, but I just don't share your optimism. I realize you think Andrew Macdonald was a decent signing....I just haven't seen a consistency you would expect from a guy that got a 25 million dollar deal.....with no first pairing talent the rest of these guys are being asked a lot of and I just don't think the talent is there to help this team compete at a higher level.
