These "Myers" threads are just yawn.
They want the potential 6'5, 210+ lbs offensive beast for the Top 4 non-elite D man
who hasn't played a single playoff game?

Good luck with that.

So he may have played a few games in the first round when he was like 18, big deal.
The point is, no proven track record in playoffs

As much as I hate the sabres I have to say to get Myers your going to have to give up a lot. I offered B schenn to open up conversations and hes a nhl player at this point unlike this prospect you speak of. I can do the same thing...Im not trading ghost, morin, haag, sanheim for Myers because he has limited playoff expierence and hasnt lived up to his potential in Buffalo. Have my prospects proven anything? no

exactly.. just simply looking up Tyler to see he has played in the playoffs.

2009-2010 SABRES 6 1 0 1 0 4 0 0 0 18 5.6
2010-2011 SABRES 7 1 5 6 -4 16 0 0 0 9 11.1

Nothing major.. but he has played 13 games.

When you mention something then realize you're wrong this is the way to backtrack!!

Mind you the last time the Sabres were in the playoffs he was the best Sabre by far in that series. 6 points in 7 games and was all over the ice. But hey what do I know I only you know watch the games and even have the ability to check a stat sheet just to make sure he did in fact play in every game that series.

That's great numbers, considering both those series were loses for buffalo. Boston and then philly, who went on to play for the cup that year.

I don't know that Yotes really have anything to offer that the Sabres really need. We already have enough D prospects so don't need much there and while Domi looks good on paper, that's playing in Juniors and I'm really skeptical that he could produce at the NHL level, being only a hair over 5' and all.

Why would Arizona even want to make this trade to begin with, you have a great D now, why broke what isn't fixed.....you need Offensive help, not D.

I agree, it would be foolish of Buffalo to move Myers at this point....he's also looked great 4 games into the season.

I honestly thought the Sabres playoff drought was longer, and was too lazy to look it up.

love seeing sabres fans predicting what theyll be able to get for Myers. what you expect to get( the moon and stars) will be far lower then what he gets in a trade. But, when your team is as bad as theirs is you have to have something to distract from the mess.
- Jurco_28

love seeing (enter any team here) fans predicting what theyll be able to get for (enter that teams above avg/star player here).....

Yes, this is unique to Buffalo fans, isn't it so funny that they want a good asset back when they trade one(especially when the leverage is all on the side of the team that holds the original asset), in this case, Myers....so ridiculous!

The Wings apparently value 19 years old Mantha more than the 24 years old Myers.
End of story, nothing to speculate about.

Nice start for you guys. Brock Nelson looking mighty good right now. I thought I read he should of been up last year but it was a contracts game.
- ImThatGuy

He was up last year. I did say on your thread last week he's the player to watch this year. Kid is going to be great. He probably will slow down soon but he's going to be a steady producer for a real long time for this team.

I don't blame them (or you) for wanting to keep Mantha. By all accounts he is a future stud. However the guy the Sabres have is a bonafide good, young NHL player. You (or any team) won't get him for prospects that aren't blue chip, and 2nd round picks. It just won't happen

Well, you have to give up something of value to get Myers.
Sabres can't just give you Myers for bunch of scrubs.
You have to give up something to get something.
And that is our end of story!

Which is why this is a non story. Everybody is right. Like Friedman said, Sabres said Mantha and that was the end of the discussion.

That's pretty much how the discussions will probably go with 25 other teams. Maybe the Sabres can get a stupid or desperate team to bite but don't hold your breath.

Please find from my post where i state that.

I was simply making fun of you're ridiculous post about Buffalo apparently being the only team that wants to get the best return on a good, young asset.

Apparently i need to keep it simple.

really, I said that? simply stating what they want for him is a overpayment.

follow your own advice there first

I am just curious, Pulkinnen and Sproul, for example, wouldn't get it done?

The issue I see here is everyone thinks we are trying to trade Myers.
I think it's the other way.
Maybe your GM is seeking Myers.
So, the breath does not need to be held.
