I think it would be best for Sanheim to stay in junior longer for his development, but he could beat out our current defense before he becomes more well rounded due to how well he moves the puck and can skate out of trouble. For his whole game to be NHL ready, I would give him the time.

Absolutely they have. I'll give you a perfect example in a recent game. Hampus Lindholm. He's 20 years old and he's a stud. He's one defenseman that doesn't get talked about a lot, but he's going to be a top player. I was real impressed with him last game.

But here's my point Joe. No matter how good those young kids are, or are going to be. If they play at that age, in the same situation that the current defenseman have played in at times, they're going to have the same struggles, and probably worse. And also, while I agree there are holes in the lineup defensively, Flyers defenseman get the shaft from the fanbase. They're better players then given credit for.

No I don't think that at all. I'm just thinking they could make the bottom pairing a bit better, thus giving the team some help AND learning on the job per say.
