At this point they MUST do something.

You have to kind of feel bad for Eakins. It must be a nightmare to try and coach this team (although I suppose we don't really know what's really happening behind the scenes - I guess I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt)

- Zogg

Eakins isn't helping himself, his defensive system is flawed. He scratched one of their top d-men in Petry. I don't think he has a good relationship with the locker room, specifically with Petry, Yakupov, etc.

Was talking to oil fans a couple days ago. Apperently Eberle has been the worst of the bunch. Surprising. But they all said if they had to move one guy it would be him.

Over yak, I find surprising. But apperantly yaks been exceptional this year. I would NEVER move Eberle. Big game player, big time talent. thats just me though.....

- vancity787

Don't need a big game player with a team that doesn't want the big game

I propose Lack, Tanev and Hansen for Eberle.

I'm sure the oil fans hate this but this deal helps the oilers big time with the 3 biggest weaknesses. Hell Tanev might be Edm best D man. Lack is way better then Scrivezina or Flask

- Bieksa#3

I'd do that, though I'm not sure the Oilers would want Lack and I am partial to keeping him anyways

The Yaks treatment or bad treatment is so blatantly obvious

Definite disconnect I'd wager. WD actually seems like he would have been a great fit for the Oilers

Didn't Justin Schultz do that to Anaheim? What was he thinking?

And Canucks
- VANTEL

Well it was more of a slap in the face to ANA who drafted him and had his rights. Canucks were basically just trying to sign him as a free agent and he went where he could play he most right away.

ANA's still loaded with young talent, but at one point they had Schultz/Gardiner in their system.

The announcer from TSN radio Edmonton is saying Eakins is now trying to teach them a new system when they still haven't learnt his old system.

I think wed be alright. Not saying a 2nd deal wouldn't be required. I think between Sbisa and Stanton they'd make a solid if unspectacular 4/5.

Friend of mine who goes to 5-10 games every year says he looks like he's added some weight this year as well.

I was driving around town today and you can not drive 2city blocks without finding a construction site. Having 6 month of winter has its advantages. Maybe Edler is tired of trying to drive around this ridiculous city too.

Sorry man, but after this past winter, I'll gladly take construction over constant white outs.
