In his years in Philly, he scored 23, 14, 29, 46, 33, 36 goals. He's more defensively responsible now I suppose but that has more to do with LA's system. I don't think he's that much better than when he was here tbh. He's relied on a lot less too.

They are a bottom 5 defense group.

Totally understood. You cant teach stuff like grit, and Richards had it in abundance. I just personally always felt Carter was the better player.

Carter was an underrated player here defensively. LA has a deeper team, but Carter is one of their top players in minutes played. And plays in all situations. He is relied on a lot in LA.

Carter is not the marquis player that you build around, such as a Crosby, Stamkos, Giroux etc. But he's right there at the next level.
