If you sit MDZ, good luck getting out of your zone and up the ice without him. Schenn/Schultz.... just use your imagination there.

Huge exaggeration! On the PK the Flyers are likely to use Coburn, MacDonald, Schenn and Grossmann on the PK when healthy. How would these four get the puck out of their zone? It's not as if Grossmann or Schenn are completely incapable of clearing the puck or making an outlet pass. Obviously Del Zotto, Streit, Coburn and MacDonald are much stronger at it but Schenn and Grossmann have been trusted together on the PK many times and have survived. I will admit it's more ideal to have a puck mover with these two players but you have to ask yourself why we as a group and the coaching staff try to avoid having Streit and Del Zotto on the PK infavour of the dreadful Luke Schenn and Nicolas Grossmann?

Carter is not the marquis player that you build around, such as a Crosby, Stamkos, Giroux etc. But he's right there at the next level.

Carter would be a perfect winger for Giroux. Fast, responsible, and has perhaps the best wrister in the game. G could turn him into a 50 goal scorer right now

Meh, hysterical complaining in all some of us have in here. WHat else would they do with themselves?

- MBFlyerfan

I know I don't post much but when I do I try to ignore the people who are notorious for being nothing but complainers. It makes for a much better HB experience.

Listen, I love Giroux. But Carter is not a 50 goal scorer in this League. Not playing with anybody.

looking at the Carter and Richards moves again, it is pretty amazing what the got back in depth from those trades..

Richards- Simmer, B Scheen, and Grossman
Carter- Jake V, Coots and Cousins

Would I like to still have Carter and Richards, yes, but looking at where the team will be in 2 years after those trades...not a bad haul

Then the timing of the Pronger injury only a few months after these trades...boy did things change fast...

Agreed -- and that isn't a crime. There's only two guys in the league who are

EDIT: Maybe three, if John Tavares takes it up a notch. He's a pretty pure scorer

I was hoping Giroux could've turned BSchenn into a 1 goal scorer.

That experiment lasted long

I tend to over exaggerate things. Although he did have 46 one year playing with linemates not as talented as Giroux (or Vorecek). I don't think 40 would be out of the question now. Doesn't change the fact that I feel he would be the perfect "sniper" for Giroux that everyone is always asking for.

I think the thing you are ignoring is the difference between being able to dump the puckwith reckless abandon because you are on the PK so you don't have to sorry about getting an icing and getting the puck out cleanly while playing 5 on 5 to avoid an icing and getting stuck out on the ice.

Anyone can fling the puck out of the zone. But it's another thing to be able to make a good outlet pass or even skate the puck out of the zone yourself.

until berube can figure out how to these these morons to bond well this team will go no where. the players clearly have talent but they don't have cohesiveness between each other. this is a major failing by claude giroux as well

They've only played 1 game. Hagg has 2 assists. Ghost was apparently a wrecking ball of offense in the AHL preseason.

receive an extremely bad connotation because of your average typical (frank)ing douchebag that thinks hes cool because he goes to their concerts and like doooooodz totally wore a pinny and had like 91 natty ices in the parking lot bruh.

Lucic is a good player, but it amazes me that he gets away with so much. Creaming Ryan Miller and getting a slap on the wrist when you know he did it on purpose... His antics in the handhsake line last year, then his behaviour last night. ..(which I am sure will get glossed over). If he was a Flyer, they'd be calling to revoke the franchise.

To be fair, on the PK they can just ice the puck, but I still get your point.
