I don't think anybody wants Bellemare out of the lineup. Why Blair Jones over Laughton though? - PhillySportsGuy
To me it doesn't matter if we have Blair Jones or not. He's not gonna come close to replacing a Vincent Lecavalier. Bellemare mostly can be placed anywhere but I'm under the assumption with the Flyers wanting Lecavalier out this summer has to do with getting Laughton in. |

Keep in in the A for a couple months at least. Needs a steady diet of humble pie. |

Prob wouldn't assume that. If they were able to shed Lecavalier they prob keep B Schenn at center or sign a Roy or Olli Jokinen on a year deal. Getting Lecavalier out had everything to do with getting Lecavalier out |

I think the Flyers view the future with Giroux, Couturier, and Laughton in the middle.

I have some big concerns about Couturier ever being able to become the 2 in a 1-2 scoring punch. |

With us being so weak on the left side, I've always felt Schenn on the wing has always been a safe bet. Schenn has a nice physical grind game that could work along the boards.
Edit
I'm also not a fan of Brayden Schenn's defensive game. To say he was compared to Mike Richards when drafted is a huge disappointment. |

His play - Just5
You've given it all of 4 games, gonna need to be a bit more patient on this one |

If it was based on his play, you wouldn't have those serious doubts.

In this forum, the entire team has been given up on after 4 games. Not saying you have, but that is the climate on here.

He's in his 4th season. I'm not saying he never will be. But he needs to be more consistent with his offense. He needs to flash more, there's not much at all that's special about his game in the offensive zone right now. |

That's nothing new, I expect them to give it everything they have but don't expect them to finish high in the conference.
I also wouldn't be shocked if they didn't make the playoffs. |

He's never been put in the position for a extended period of time, be patient. It's been 4 games he's not going to all the sudden turn into Stamkos or somebody similar. |

Couturier is never going to be a flashy offensive player like Voracek or Giroux. But he has clearly shown his offensive potential. And if need be, I'd be happy to point that out to you. I think you're not seeing this very clearly.

I wouldn't be shocked either way but again if they do make it to the playoffs I think it's towards the bottom teams. |

I don't expect them to be in the top 4 teams in the conference. I'm thinking 5-8. And always depending on injuries and such, missing the playoffs is possible. But I think they can make it.

Laughton on the pp with his second to tie it up at the end of the 2nd. Ghost and Haag looking dangerous, firing lasers on net. |

Don't know how you can, when the numbers clearly point out that he does have offensive potential. Do you think that Voracek and Simmonds are good NHL offensive players?
