He's in his 4th season. I'm not saying he never will be. But he needs to be more consistent with his offense. He needs to flash more, there's not much at all that's special about his game in the offensive zone right now.

He's still starting most of his shifts in the defensive zone and in the same role he's been in for most of his career. Kind of hard to expect offense when you saddle the dude with 70 % D-zone starts against the top lines of opposing teams.

He's never been put in the position for a extended period of time, be patient. It's been 4 games he's not going to all the sudden turn into Stamkos or somebody similar.

Trust me, I'm not saying Stamkos. At this point I'm leaning towards him following a Jordan Staal type career path which is fine, I'm hoping to extract more offensive juice like everyone. I think it's fair to question it with him going into his 4th season, regardless of what position he gets put in, it's still hockey and I'm looking at solely the eye test over the past couple years, not points, zone starts, etc
