need a trade. need to get Kindl the hell off the team.
- Jurco_28

First Babcock needs to get Kindl the (frank) away from Quincey. Quincey is a toxic partner to anyone and the only one that can really deal with his stupid plays is DeKeyser. Smith looked better once he got away from Quincey and Kindl might also.

I would go:

Kronwall - Smith
Quincey - DeKeyser
Ericsson - Kindl

Or I guess you could go:

Kronwall - Smith
Kindl - DeKeyser
Ericsson - Quincey

To try and get some interest in Kindl for a trade.

Quincey on the 3rd pairing. Kindl they need to trade for whatever to get Oulette in here. Or trade for a right shot defenseman (which they are trying to do)

I would go option number 2. I think pairing Big E and Kindl together would make for a lot of turnovers. Big E seems to be struggling mightily after last years injury plagued season.

Yeah I wasn't too sure about the Kindl/Ericsson pairing...it could be good or as bad as Smith/Quincey or Quincey/Kindl. One thing that could help is Ericsson wouldn't be seeing the other teams top offensive lines on the 3rd pair which could help him look better again.

That is true but boy has Big E looked about as bad as ever lately. I'm pretty sure his finger is what is affecting him and I don't believe it will ever feel the same again for him. Maybe the hip flexor issue during camp is why he isn't up to full speed yet?

I hate your location. I don't want to think of Nyquist in this picture:

I forgot about his finger...that might explain his bad passes a bit.

Seems like Babcock is changing up the defense pairs for tonight. Kronwall/Smith, Kindl/Ericsson and DeKeyser/Quincey.

That Kindl/Ericsson line scares me. The last thing we need is our second pairing giving up turnovers left and right.

Well what I see is a small skilled winger that doesn't consistently go to the tough areas. I surely hope I'm wrong.

The thing that I see that differentiates Nyquist from Hudler is that Nyquist keeps progressing his game since he got to the NHL level, especially in the 200 foot game, and seems to be digging more and more into his "grit" factor. Hudler sorta stalwarted after his second season in. Kind of miss Hudler at times, which makes me the 1% here in that respect.

The Leafs are a quick group though. I wouldn't like Gus's chances against Kessel, JVR, Kozun, or even Reilly if they snatch the puck from tha pair and a breakaway happens. Kindl and Ericsson aren't the fastest dmen by a good stretch.

I always liked Hudler too. He is what he is. A 50-60pt player.

Toronto is giving up about 34 shots per game so far so we should have plenty of chances to score as well.

IIRC, they said that it could take up to a year for E's finger to heal fully. I haven't paid a lot of attention, I wonder if/how many opposing players are slashing at his hands...

Quincey made a few real nice defensive plays.

Wings are nowhere near a lock for anything this year, this is a let the kids play year as far as im concerned, but I will say that if they can play with urgency right from the start, our "young" players can seem to have some veteran habits.

I still think Kindl/Quincey/Weiss/Cleary are dispensible and could be moved out for whatever really.

Should be an interesting season if anything.

I haven't really noticed players going after Ericsson more than any other Wings player that had the puck...they just seem to slash anyone that has control of the puck like every team does pretty much. I don't think other teams would really target a guy like Ericsson...Datsyuk, Zetteberg, Nyquist or Kronwall though might be a different story of they were playing with an injured finger. Or if it was in the playoffs then they probably would.

Agreed I just thought it was funny we bash Quincey and he kind of gave us a (frank) you lol

Kindls contract is likely too high to move...hopefully Weiss earns his way back and cleary is just hanging out for the hell of it

Would have been good except for lame ass calls like "goalie interference" against Abbie. Lamest poop I have ever seen.

Sucks that it ruined what would have been a gorgeous goal but I've seen much worse goalie interference calls.
