I literally never actually said that, so please stop saying it. - DynamicThreads
But I have this thing called common sense, and it's telling me that you hate Myers.
"Myers for Smith-Pelly 1 for 1"
So is this ^ |

Myers played 26+ minutes, had 4 shots, and wasn't on for a goal against.
Weber played 14:37 and was on for the only goal against.
They are in different leagues. One is good, the other isn't in the league on most (if not every other ) team - sbroads24
Plus/minus is a horrible stat. What did Weber do wrong that led to the Goal? |

We had 24 shots. Not hard to lead the team in shots when you no one else is shooting.
A quick look at NHL.com Boxscore says Myers had 4 shots tonight. Wooooooooow. - DynamicThreads
How many did that solid #6 throw on net?
You said he out preformed him..... |

Nothing. I'm wondering what Weber did to out preform him.
Playing 14 minutes on the worst team in hockey is pretty much barely having the job. Unfortunately last year when he had more ice time he couldn't handle it |

Does anyone here have 362.5 beat in HBSL? I still have Perry, Getzlaf, Kesler and Lindholm tonight. |

It wasn't the only reason it went in, but the shot went right through him before it got to the net. |

I gotta stop having dumb arguments about players that won't be here when we are good.
Which is 90% of this team |

So Weber is expected to be a #6 because he is, but you expect Myers to be extremely physical when he isn't?
And that bold. You don't actually think that, do you? Is it possible to think that? - Herzeleid
I didn't say I expect Myers to be extremely physical. You have a serious reading comprehension, stop putting words in my mouth. You keep saying that I'm saying things that I'm literally not saying. I said I want to see him take over/dominate a game. That can mean any number of things. 5+ shots a game, actually showing up on the score sheet, one or two nice hits per shift, not per game and yeah, maybe be physical at some point, especially when he's the biggest guy on the ice I don't want to see him letting up on a hit or wincing when a guy half his size takes a run at him.

Yeah, Weber was on for a goal against that Enroth, who played outstanding tonight, shouldn't have let in. It was a softy and Weber had almost nothing to do with it. There were 4 other guys on the ice for that goal against. weber is a bottom-pairing guy, played bottom-pairing minutes and had a bottom-pairing stat-line. Myers is a top-pairing guy with top-pairing minutes and had a few more shots and an even +/- (arguably the most useless stat possibly ever in any sport).
For a defense man . Not bad . How many got deflected and were not direct shots . Quit while your behind.

He has 3 points in 5 games. Other 45-50 point players have fetched 1sts.
I know you hate Nolan, but it's 5 games in. As soon as they send the pee wee back to juniors, Larsson or Grigorenko will improve them slightly - sbroads24
I have major doubts regarding Larsson being an every night player in the NHL. I haven't seen him in Rochester but whenever he's played in Buffalo, I'm scratching my head wondering what the guy brings to the table. |

I have doubts too, but he was nearly a PPG in Rochester last year.
I think he'd be an upgrade over Reinhart for now |

Um. Yes. Much like the magic number for a runner is a 4 minute mile, a golfer is Birdie/Par, an NFL QB is 300 (yards passing), the magic number for an NBA center is 10 (rebounds) and the magic ERA for an MLB pitcher is something like 2.00?
There are standards for skilled players and highly regarded skill positions in sports.
Last time I checked, Tyler Myers is our #1 defenseman and everyone seems to think he would be phenominal on a team like Anaheim or Detroit when reality is, he's probably reached his ceiling already and has been playing sub-par since hitting it 4 years ago. |

So about 18+++ hits a game, and more shots then Ovie? I can't be reading this right. Oh wait, yes I am......
and not being on the Sabres might help with that...... maybe....... |

Alex Ovechkin (NHL's leading goal scorer) who is a forward averaged 4.94 shots per game last season.
So what you are saying is that the expectations for our defensemen should be to exceed that.
Basically, you will never be happy with his play. Which is fine you are entitled to your opinion. Now I know not to waste time debating it |

I just spent 3 hours waiting for max, jochen, doug, dave and mike to score. Realized none of the names matched up with the numbers and left happy that we are one game closer to McEickel |
