Anyone have a re-run of the game? I missed it all and I'm just trying to catch up. - PensMalkin71
Not unless you're in Vancouver and willing to wait for the Bengals game to be over today before I let you watch it lol. Pens played well, we kept it close through halak's performance but looked out of sync when we got into the pens zone. |

Clutterback also isn't a top 9 forward. - Isles_since_6
I like Clutter but i agree. I like him on the PK and the fourth line. He makes too many bone headed plays in the offensive zone which kills momentum. Last night quite a few. I know it's only one game but waive, ship out, whatever with Mcdonald. Call up Lee and put Clutter back on the 4th line. |

Its not about winning every night its about how they lost. Maybe it was due to the line up changes with the loss of grabo idk but they looked flat last night. I have no problem with a loss in itself but when you dont compete is where I find the problem. There's no need to relax I'm fine. I don't think the sky is falling either I'm just discussing what i saw last night. - Cptmjl
Agreed last night wasn't good but were gonna have games like that, the pk will get much better when Grabner gets back, and hopefully Grabo is not out too long, cause then I may be worrying, let's kick butt Tuesday and go from there |

Grabner will help the pk definitely but its the fundamentals of the PK thats the problem IMO. The easy play/route is never taken. You should stop worrying about puck possession in the defensive zone when youre on the penalty kill. Just get the puck out of the zone. Either up the boards or off the glass. How many times did we see that last night or in the past for that matter? I was screaming at the TV last night "off the facking glass!!!!" . |

Last night was one game......coulda gonna the other way if the isles buried a few chances. Can't be too concerned about the pens scoring on the PP. They're the best Pp in the league. To me, the boys just looked nervous.....all game. |

We lost bc we fail to convert. If you don't covert on 5 on 3 the give other team a 5 on 3, 9 out of 10 times you going to lose the game
Colin Mac stinks. Not tht he did anything wrong he just did nothing
Also clutterbuck brought down Nielsen and bailey line last night.
All in all we aren't going to go 82-0 and we lost by one goal to penguins
Let's bounce back with win againsy Toronto on Tuesday. That's all |

We did look Nervous. Same way they we're in 1st period in Carolina. They have to realize we can beat anyone in this league.

Agreed.....there was too much thinking and not enough reaction. Bailey and Okposo shoulda had one each.
The isles looked deflated after not scoring on the 5 on 3. That woulda made it 2-0. Different game if that happened.
I'm not concerned. The isles will bounce back. |

Nelson had golden chance too and didn't elevate the puck enough. |

Let's face facts they played against a solid PITT team which has a healthy lineup and are playing with purpose. More important PITT has scouted the Isles first four games so they have a good handle on their breakouts, pp setup and pk. When the opposition takes you seriously you have to prepare and also vary your game else you don't stay in the playoff mix. Yes it is coaching and players who can adjust. |
