It's an exciting time to be an Islander fan right now!! I don't think they'll win every game, but they have done a great job not letting a goal against slow them down. Hats off to Snow for the moves this year. - 22bossy
What a difference having a threat from the points on the PP. Something the isles haven't had since Adrian Acoin |

Great time to be an Isles fan and you're all arguing with the perennial Rangers troll. Nice |

I came in here to joke around a little and then this guy comes along with the "How was the queen the other night at msg? Two back to back 6 goal games??? Ricky Dipietro is available if you guys are looking for goaltending." |

So pissed I can't watch tonight's game. Grabo is a big loss. McDonald (and that 4th line as a whole) better step the (frank) up. Clutterbuck will be fine on that third line. He's got more skill than a lot of people give him credit for. |

For me personally, when a top 6 winger gets injured that shoulda meant calling up anders lee. Bumping up Bailey to the second line when he's just now settling into his role as a 3rd liner, who's been playing hard is a mistake. For what, to let Colin Mcdonald play on the 4th line??? Moving up Bailey just changed the chemistry on the 2nd,3rd and 4th lines. I think that's a mistake. Keep the third and fourth lines as they were and let anders lee play the 2nd line wing. |

Your damn right I did. How many years did I sit in the coliseum with thousands of d bag skirt fans chirping a salary basement team. It's a level playing field now. The rivalry is back....
Take your skirt off......it's all in good fun. |

The islander/ranger rivalry used to be one of the best in all of sports. Ever since the skirts swept the isles in 1994 and literally embarrassed them with 6-0 games the rivalry fell off. One team spent and one used BS buyouts to make the salary floor.
Now that the isles got off their wallet and spent a little, man oh man what a difference. The PP is a legit threat. They roll four solid lines. Very exciting! |

Agreed. Nothing like a good islander ranger game. |

bailey is still on the third line.. Kulemin is on the second line... i would think if this injury is long term and or these lines don't work they would bring up Lee. |

Maybe they're expecting Grabo back sooner than later (I hope) putting McDonald in, but I agree with this 100 percent. They moved Kulemin up though. The fact he's out indefinitely though, certainly does not bode well.
Conacher - Taveres - Okposo
Lee (Grabo) - Nelson - Strome
Kulemin - Nielsen - Bailey
Martin - Cizekas - Clutterbuck |

Not according to NHL.com.
It said Bailey moves up to 2nd, clutterbuck moves up to 3rd and Colin Mcdonald take the 4th wing spot. |

No it doesn't. He got rocked. But him being out shouldn't mean you change every other lines dynamic. It was working and then you change it? I think it's a mistake.
Anders Lee looked good in pre season. He and his enormous head brings that element... |

That's what it should be. How exciting to have that second line be all young home grown talent??? Bailey has looked ok finally agreeing to be a third liner. I'm not sure why they decided to bump him up? Especially considering they've clearly made it known to him that that's his role on this team. |

What are the lines then? Why would NHL.com list inaccurate lines? |

I hope Grabo isn't out for more than 2-3 games, otherwise Lee should be brought up. |

Isles just need to concentrate on the Pens 1st line of Crosby and the PP. Even tho Malkin is great, he's the only stud on that 2nd line. Crosby-Kunitz-Horny have been really good for them, so Boychuk & Leddy have their work cut out for themselves.... |
