Fun game to watch. The pace really picked up in the second. I dont give a poop about the loss... I was looking to see if they could play at Tampa's tempo and they even carried the play for long stretches in the final 2 periods. There is entertainment value in this team still. They havent had to dress a goon to do it either.

And his absence could last much longer than that. The Lightning defenseman appeared to injure his right hand in the second period on a shot block. Erlendsson reported after the game that Hedman is heading back to Tampa Bay to be evaluated and that he would miss at least the rest of the road trip. Just 23, Hedman has already become a top-flight defenseman. He entered the game with three goals and four assists.

Come on, we all know the way to go is to get rid of our depth! If you don't have a 2nd line you might as well have a weak/average bottom 6 as well instead of having a strong 4th line. #McDavid.

The dying seconds were a bit entertaining too, even if we were down by two goals.

Bit of a mixed bag with some terrible plays and great efforts.
