Maybe Nonis just wanted to know why Linden didnt warn him about Booth's injury history?

Greyhounds trying to mount a comeback against the Bulls. McCann with 1g and 1a in the 2nd...they trail 4-3.

Kassian, Mattias for JVR

With the exception of Really JVR is the guy I'd want the Canucks to get from the leafs. Great contract as well

Why? I think he's a talented scorer. Great hands and doesn't mind going to the net. Played in a pressure cooker like TO and he's young too. Defensively he needs some work but he's young and has time to learn.

Great numbers in juniors. Great numbers in the AHL. He's played 182 games in the NHL and has 115 points.

Only legitimate problem he might have is personality issues and he dives. That can be coached out of him.

Now that we have Willie as a coach I'm more inclined to take a chance on young talent that might have personality issues. Willie seems like a communicator. Those coaches usually do well with the young guys.

He's awful defensively. Not just bad. He's such a little punk cry baby female dog as well

Gardiner is the guy I'd be focusing on... why the Leafs keep crapping all over him is utterly beyond me. In both of his full NHL seasons, all he's done is play over 20min/gp and put up 30pts... plus in his one playoff year he had 5pts in 6 games. If they're dumb enough to part ways with a guy who's just 24 and already accomplishing that on such a mediocre team, then I hope Benning doesn't hesitate.

Just send Kassian back the other way, so Don Cherry has a new good ol' white, anglophone, Ontario boy to kiss on the air.

Think of Edler gafs multiply it by 10 and take out his hitting. I love Gardiner but there is some gaping holes in his game much like Justin Schultz. The healthy scratches are well deserved.

ya i would be inclined to take on Kadri as well because of WD and the fact that we have the Sedins. I'm sure Kadri has heard from the coaches in TO on what he needs to do defensively, but the fact that the #1 line in TO cheats offensively makes it kind of fall on deaf ears. Why should he do it if the #1 line isn't.
- Mungo

How many 1st lines don't cheat and get away with it? Kadri can't hold a candle to the production from Kessel and co

I was trying to be a little more diplomatic, in my response. But that sums it up nicely.

Well, he still had more hits than Hamhuis or Garrison last year, and way more than Tanev was on pace for. Frankly I haven't seen a Leafs defenceman yet who didn't have the odd embarrassing moment. I'm not saying he's a perfect player by any stretch, but given the limited depth of young defencemen in the Canucks' system, I'd really like to see them bring in a young defenceman like this who has some puck skill and quality years ahead of him.

Eric Brewer to Vancouver for a pick and a bag of pucks.

We'll throw in Morrow for free.
