With Orton they're getting in position to score and not finishing. With Manuel, they're not even getting there. This team needs somebody not on this roster under center next year.

We are watching the end of the CJ Spiller time. It is now Fred, Boobie and Bryce time...maybe just Boobie and Bryce for awhile.

I just don't see one iota of improvement in this team. Sure we expected them to suck but I thought they would suck just a little bit less than last season.... And then there are the Bills... Same old story... No improvement and still suck...... Is it any wonder Buffalo fans are in a deep state of depression?

To be honest, I thought, the Sabres would be a little bit better than last year, but still be bad, it is still very early and a LOT of new players were brought in. At the moment it looks like some players are just happy to be here getting a paycheck and don't seem to care about the game or the team, that is what it "seems" like.

The positives I do see are that, they do generate scoring chances, but it seems no one on the team has any ability to place the puck BEHIND the goalie.

Tyler Meyers is the most un-inspiring athelete I have seen in a long time, he can hardly beat anyone on a rush anymore.

EDIT: NOT blaming Meyers for everything, there are plenty of others, Hodgson, Moulson, Foligno, Stafford, Chris Stewart, just horrible.

As bad a s Orton is at times, He is 100 times more accurate tha EJ. And has the veteran experience to know what to do. Hopefully EJ is watching and learning...and working on his accuracy.

Yeah I also thought they would score more but I think we look much more organized. I'm not sure if I remember last year correctly but I thought we looked very sloppy all over the ice. Now we just look sloppy in the ozone.

Disagree. He wouldn't be the same. We would have been lucky to get 6 points with him in this game. I'm not saying Orton is great, but he is clearly the better choice right now.

Orton > EJ.

EJ would have those picks plus he would have pissed half those throws. Orton isn't afraid to air it out and throw the ball. Yea it sucks watching him get sacked when EJ would get out of the pocket and keep the play alive but how often did EJ do anything positive when avoiding a sack?
