Even with him, I imagine our pick will still be pretty high. Enough to leave us in the conversation. - Sabresfan-365
He's been DTD with an upper body injury. |

Why trade for his brother just to trade him? makes no sense, they can re sign him. - SABRES 89
If you don't see yourself being a contender for three or four years, it means he'll be 33 years old by then, and his production probably goes down by then, as opposed to the 21 or 22 years old a McDavid or Eichel would be by that point. |

I still think we have a chance even if we make that deal, Moulson needs a number 1 center. - SABRES 89

Would Ottawa have even dealt him to us?
Better yet, would he stick around? |

I've always viewed Staal as a shoot 1st type center.
While not a bad thing, not sure that's what Moulson needs. |

At 33yrs old he would still be a very good player to have as a mentor for Reinhart and Girgensons.
Just think the cost to keep him here would be way to high. Like 6-7yrs at stupid money.

For the right price, I'd consider it. I just don't think he'd ever even consider coming here right now. We're terrible. |

staal would work with staff and stewart, they can hang around the net and swat the rebounds |

I think you can get Staal for less then 6-7 years, only the Leafs are that dumb. |

Here's the thing.
CoHo and Zads is a steep price as it is but there's no way (IMO) Carolina trade their best asset with no 1st/s coming back. |

You really think that would've worked out?
He went to the best possible destination for him as he didn't have/need to be the guy.
He'd have looked like Columbus Carter here. |

I Dont think this team is this bad, or shouldn't be at least. Coaching, downfall. |
