?? Well last year Moulson was playing really well here and Stafford was going through his once every 50 games "I'm going to be good streaks" Right now" Currently Stafford is way worse. IMO in order the worst forwards on this team right now
Hodgson, Stafford, Stewart, McCormick, Moulson - bluengold12
You have those two backwards.
Since Moulson's first game here, he has 9 goals in 49 games as a Sabre |

This is getting interesting to me to see just how bad this team can be. Washington Capitals 1974-75 8 wins? The Sabres have 11 regulation wins since the start of the 2013-14 season. |

It's another one of those magical performances that occur under Ted Nolan's tutelage. |

Moulson was never playing "really well" last year. He was okay, but that's about it. He didn't deserve a 5 year deal, not on a team at this stage. - buffalofan19
It's called trading the player. The sabres needed to reach the cap. There will always be a sucker playoff team giving up a first rounder for a has been 30 goal scorer. |

It's the MO of a Nolan coached team. - buffalofan19
You see, to me, this logic right here is amusing.
Jesus, I seriously wonder how long some of you have actually watched hockey.
In one breath you cite that this team is devoid of talent.
The next breath it's because of the coach , his "MO", his style.
Preconceived mindsets are a huge "flavor" here on these boards, annoyingly.
What is "depressing" is agenda and some very washed up old acts here.
You or anyone citing that this is somehow Nolan's fault tells me everything I need to know about you as a hockey fan.
Take a step back and take a deep breath for the opportunity to realize that it may be your own pew you smell.
I won't bother replying because I refuse to get into some 5 page long drawn out exchange, I have much better things to do with my time.
I held my tongue long enough with this type of nonsensical talk. |

Glad your enjoying this.. so when we come in dead last again and lose out on Mcdavid thanks to the lottery you'll realize it was all for naught.. - bluengold12
Two words...Jack Eichel.
Hardly "for naught"...in fact we will have another Reinhart / Bennett Debate at that point..it will get into high gear at the WJC-U20's |

At this point we have to bank on one of those top 2. But finishing even 29th can blow up that idea. So is a horrible unwatchable season worth it for Hanifin? |

This team is both devoid of talent and has a coach that is, and always has been offensively inept. The two don't have to be mutually exclusive, and they aren't in this case, at all. Even the players who have offensive abilities, such as Ennis, Moulson, and Hodgson, look utterly clueless when they have the puck. That's a product of poor coaching. None of these guys are good enough to make a significant impact in the first place, but they also shouldn't look like a deer in the headlights either.
I can look at the roster to know this team is devoid of talent. I can also use past history and the common sense of a third grader to know that Ted Nolan has always been an offensively inept coach. That 1997 team would have been just as bad as this one had he not had a first ballot hall of famer in goal. |

I've been away from here for a while but felt obligated to post.
Seen as I haven't been on the boards am I the only one whose noticed how utterly terrible Hodgson and Stafford have been?? I know the whole team has been bad but these two are downright pathetic. Like John Scott bad... Why Nolan thought it would be a good idea to 4th line and now bench Reinhart for that bum Hodgson is beyond me.. meanwhile teams like Edmonton are giving their 1st rounder a chance at a top 3 line role and see how he does before sending him down.. Sabres cant even handle Reinhart right... - bluengold12
John Scott scored a goal last week! |
