Wow, exciting.

This team is both devoid of talent and has a coach that is, and always has been offensively inept. The two don't have to be mutually exclusive, and they aren't in this case, at all. Even the players who have offensive abilities, such as Ennis, Moulson, and Hodgson, look utterly clueless when they have the puck. That's a product of poor coaching. None of these guys are good enough to make a significant impact in the first place, but they also shouldn't look like a deer in the headlights either.

I can look at the roster to know this team is devoid of talent. I can also use past history and the common sense of a third grader to know that Ted Nolan has always been an offensively inept coach. That 1997 team would have been just as bad as this one had he not had a first ballot hall of famer in goal.

And Lindy ruff did no better with that team. For years we solely relies on satan. I remember fans saying if we get rid of him who will score our goals.

I remember Av's fans laughing at the thought of a sophomore slump.

It was predictable, having to increase his role without Stastny.

I did as well, mainly because given his talent level and the talent around him, he should be putting up better numbers.

Maybe it's just a slow start but as proud member of the "tank so hard" club it does worry me to see him slumping on a line with landeskog and O'reilly.

Guys like him with elite speed take the league by storm. They taper off and have to develop other parts to their game when opponents stop giving them room to skate

They made the right call as he is the best player from that class but like mhp said, they should've gone out and acquired someone to fill that hole. They need someone better than Nick Holden or Jan Heda on the top pair with Johnson.
